Infinity are pretty crap in comparison, sorry.

 

Last year Treyarch released CoD: Waw on 360, PS3 and Wii, they released Spider-man: Web of Shadows on 360, PS3 and Wii and they released Quantum of Solace on 360 and PS3.  All well above average games.  I may have forgot some versions or other games, I am unsure.

 

What did IW release?  Nothing.  In fact since CoD4 IW have managed a map pack and not much else.  Yet somehow with all that time MW2 cannot even manage co-op on par with WaW and the game still won't be 720p.  IW also seem to fail when it comes to Wii development, Treyarch are even covering their slack by porting their own game to the Wii.

 

WaW was a better game than MW in every way.

Quality vs. quanitity?

The co-op modes on WaW always have a crapload of people playing them...but of course all those people in fact dislike the co-op, they play it because they hate it.


They have the evidence right there that people like it, R2 also had many complaints when it was removed. BUT IW KNOW BETTER.


Facts and memory should do the trick.

When MW was released, CoD3 disapperead from official LiveActivity Charts. Today, almost 24 month after its release and in spite of a "sequel", MW is still here, almost at the same level as WaW.

In spite of reduced installed base at the time, MW sold more units on PS3 and X360 than WaW, and I seriously doubt WaW will catch up next year.

But just remember the games themselves.

2 years later, ppl still remember clearly many incredible moments from MW : night cargo attack, Helico flight over the city, the whole Chernobyl level, the saving the pilot/nuclear explosion/dying part, the C130 bombing, the slow-mo final, the plane rush...

Frankly, from WaW (and I finish it), beside the night attack at the begining and the very ending at the top of the parlement, there is nothing else.  The rest was "been here, done that". The "parlement charge" was especially pathetic, with just 12 guys rushing (the whole russian forces !) and after that, only 1 or 2 guys coming to replace deads. Sorry, but the Volga River mission of CoD 1 was far more intense and impressive 6 years ago.

It's not that Treyarch are bad. They can do decent games (especially when they get the right "tools" from IW in fact), but they lack the talent of Infinity Ward.

Well I personally enjoy CoD3 more than WaW, but I'm in the few and far between section in that regard.  What about Spider-Man 2? I found that to be quite awesome as well.

Yeah, they have made some "good" games, but they are mostly average, you don't associate them with AAA games like you do IW. I did really enjoy their CoDs, but IW's are just 10x better

Still haven't played proper CoD 2, I'll get it on 360, prob in Jan, when I stock up on old games for my collection

That you must get on :P.  Although many people might not like the 8 player max. MP, I found it to be just as fun as any other. 

I doubt I'll have time for MP, but I'll certainly play through the single player, I'll try veteran too

 this is what you'll be doing at some parts when doing veteran, you've been warned.  The only quarrel I have with SP is the not-the-sharpest-nails-in-the-box friendly AI.

They say they have fixed that in MW 2 so no more respawners. I did fine for most of WaW, but there I did get bored because of the grenade spamming..... I'll also have CoD 1 to look forward to with my prestige edition

if your a PC/PS3/360 man, then it's Infinity ward hands down.

If your a wii man, then it's Treyarch hands down...although probably wishing it was Infinity ward.
