The NPD sales has been released today and Sony once again has surpassed there rival in sales. Sony Playstation 3, Playstation Portable, and the legendary Playstation 2 has increased the game division for Sony significantly year over year. In the month of June Sony accomplished 480,900 vs Microsoft’s 240,600 the competitive nature in this business is continuing to rise which in return gives gamers better quality titles simply cause of the competition.

This entire year Sony’s game division has been outselling Microsoft’s when it comes down to NPD numbers, but people only look at the Playstation 3 as if that’s Sony’s only platform which isn’t true. Sony’s game division is doing extremely well that’s why games like Uncharted 2, God Of War, MAG, and more are able to consistently come out and be successful with no strain on Sony’s business model. Considering Playstation 3 is still the highest priced console on the market, they are in the process of a PS3 Slim so that will bring down cost and price in order to obtain profitability in their games division. Once the PS3 Slim is released the 10 years cycle can flow alot easier for Sony

Microsoft is doing incredibly well with their Xbox live service, games and console sales and this holiday season, Microsoft will be set to shatter records with the release of Halo: 3 ODST along side with Halo Reach beta. That spells out success and a win for Microsoft this holiday season.

Talking about spin...

I know HHG is soooo PS3-Fanboy, but I visit his site just to have a laugh and he did not disappoint me this time. He followed all the spin-rules and made a news (!!!) out of this.

1. Combine all 3 consoles
2. Compare all 3 consoles to the ONE competitor
3. Say you would just compare gaming divisions
4. Ignore the fact that the other company doesn't even have a gaming division
5. Ignore the other products the gaming division of the competitor has
6. Ignore the other gaming division that is outselling your gaming division of choice (Nintendo)
7. Post a picture to support your news.

The real fun starts in the comments. Somebody said it would be pointless to do such a comparison. The responses included "you are a clown" or "Xbot!" or "you are immature".

If you do not know HHG: He is a small guy hoping for this one growth spurt, who claims to have "insider information", but he does not. He just thinks of stuff happening eventually. This stuff can not be big and strange enough. Here are some things he made up:

• GTA V being PS3 exclusive
• Bioshock 2 being a PS3 timed exclusive
• Modern Warfare 2 being a Xbox360 exclusive
• Final Fantasy XIII getting exclusive DLC for the Xbox360
• Halo Combat evolved will get a HD remake for the Xbox360

I just wanted to share this. As I said, I had a laugh.
