"The content will be the same on all platforms," said Kitase. "However, we have yet to determine how many discs will be required for the 360 version. We'll have to consider the differences between formats. Currently the game is being built on PC, where it's actually functional. We're still focusing on making it work on PS3, so it's difficult to know how long the process of taking it to 360 will take."

As I expected, PC is the lead platform meaning I'm getting the PC version.

Except that Square later announced no PC version. They just develop on a PC base.

I am for the following reasons

1. 360 is my lead system
2. I care about achievements alot more than trophies (though I admit they are pretty much the same I have a beastly gamerscore so I like boosting that)
3. I think no third party should make console exsclusives so I'm supporting them for the multi-plat
4. What can I say at the end of the day I love PS3 but the Xbox more so thats where my support is going when given the option.

5.  I like the 360 controller alot more.

You know I would have to agree for some reason ps3 trophies just don't feel the same as earning 360 achievements. i know the concept is the same they just feel like their setup pefectly on 360. i like earning trophies on my ps3 but whenever i get them its just not the same feeling. Can't wait to earn some final fantasy 13 achievements :D

You better like achievements moar, you paid for that shit. LOL!

Wow , did you honestly say that we pay for acheivements? Have you even seen a 360?

N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!

Why? Besides those of you who only have a 360, this makes no sense to me. I see no clear advantage in doing so; I could see this on some games where the ps3 version was technically inferior as is the case sometimes, but in all likelyhood, since XIII has been in development for 5+ years on the ps3 and will supposedly be ported in only a year to the 360 I don't think this will be the case. Now, I'm not saying that the 360 version will be inferior; that remains to be seen. What I am saying is that in the best case scenario, there is no advantage to owning the 360 version over the ps3. In fact, even though the advantages would be small, the advantage still lies with the ps3:

1 blu-ray disc
ps3 has better audio
versus still exclusive (though likely not unfortunately)
ps3 lead development (that is going to be an awfully big game to port in such a small amount of time and get everything sound, especially if you're dividing your staff among the localization as well)

Then what its the problem?? what is your problem?? You ask why are we buying it, i ask, why not to buy it on the 360??

Lost odyssey came in 4 disco, i didnt have a problem with that. Audio, i dont have an HD TV. versus is a complete diferent game.

I dont have a ps3, so i will buy it on the 360 for obvious reasons, but, if i would have a ps3, it wouldnt change the things, i would buy the multiplat games on the 360 because its my favorite console.

trophies are way better than achievements. You actually level up, nothing happens with achievements. Oh wow I have a 11,578 gamer score on live. OK? So what makes that any different than my friend's 10,243? with trophies I have a level 6 avatar, and my brother has a level 5. A lot more compelling difference.

I don't get it. What do the levels do?

1. Faster loading times
2. Better controller
3. Achievements >>trophies
4. The 360 is the place for JRPGS this gen

What?! Point #1 is completely invalid as the game hasn't even released!

 Points #2-4 are complete opinion!

Darth - every newer X360 runs quieter than a PS3. If you use the HDD install, then every 360 runs quieter than a PS3.

I seriously doubt the accuracy of that statement. It's certainly not my experience. I have a launch 60GB PS3 and a ~1 year old 360. I now install all of my 360 games. Whilst the noise is certainly drastically reduced (it's a massive improvement over the non-installed noise levels for sure and a great addition to the console), it's still not as quiet as the PS3.

Would be insteresting to see him prove that every 360 is now quieter than a PS3.

My story is very similar. Mine is just over one year old (third console) and my installed games are definitely still very loud.

You guys already know, I own both consoles (PS3 + Xbox 360).

I'll get Final Fantasy 13 on my Xbox 360.

Why?
Achievements.

Multiple DVD (I love games with multiple discs (Lost Odyssey, Shenmue, etc), each disc = a new chapter, just like in a book. Maybe you don't understand what I mean...

HDD 360 install
(small loading times, no disc spinning (add longevity to the disc and the DVD reader), quiet gaming session).

Building all my "SquareEnix game collection" on the same platform. I don't know, for me, the Xbox 360 is the system for my RPG fix. My PS3 is more for movies, adventure games, original and innovative PSN titles.

360 controller.
Feels more comfortable, better ergonomics, made for my hands.

My Gaming Setup

PS3 is super-quiet.  Hope y'all can install to your hard drives with NXE or whatever it is.

Sony should push for elements in the Versus storyline to vary or be upgraded -- based on the features of a player's completed FFXIII save.  Think Microsoft thought to forbid that in their Square Enix/FFXIII contract?
