1Up and EGM actually HATES motion controls .The same happened with the Lair Beta they happily reviewed .

If they hate it so much why are they still gaming and most of all... reviewing? Game journalists, or so called journalists who can't stand the controls of a console shouldn't touch it, neither play the games and most of all not write a review about a game, because the review is filled with personal interpretation which doesn't make any sense to the gamers.

meh who cares chicks will dig this game. Those that have gfs you know you will be buying it no matter what your saying just to keep them happy and some.

I bet chicks were testing this game out for EA so i'm not surpised guys will find the wii remote unresponsive. I can't image a game reviewer being as flexible as chicks let alone being able to dance or even been to a nihgt club, so I can see how he had issues doing dance moves.

Well, since no one has responded to my comments, I still stand by my posting of the Gamepro review, and how this is different from the Lair fiasco.

egm/up whined about the sixaxis controls, others liked them.

Why arent more people hating on this game for the bad review like thay did with Lair.

I'm guessing because plenty of people were bashing it before it came out.  I don't see the people who would buy this as the type who would read videogame reviews.

Meh, average game = average reviews.

I say the same for this game and lair, both will be average games. This moreso than Lair.

Except one looks great and is an action game and the other is a crappy looking casual game so I'll get the first.

About the whole 2nd person jumping into the game in Mario, it's pretty much a non factor in the reviews because it's an unnecessary add on and doesn't do much unless there is someone who wants to barely play the game as the 2nd player...

Ok ckmlb, we get it, you hate casual games...

Also, I'm pretty sure the 2nd player option in Mario will be far from a non-factor...

It may not add much to actual gameplay, but the ability to allow a friend to help out will add significantly to the game's value.

My wife is going to be able to play the mario game with me. I think we will get a good time out of mario galaxy. We played Zelda together... she would play a little then me... and back and forth. It was fun, but I think this will be better because neither of us will only be watching. Also, she likes to tell me what to do when I play and if she had a pointer on the screen this would make it so much easier. So anyway... to me personally this second player option is VERY NICE.

I'm guessing you didn't read the review? It was written by a woman. :)

yer I read them both and mixed up there names lol. sorry. However i still feel alot of girls will get into this. Ie casualy gamer type.

went to target today... and as i was checking out the video game section, a couple came by and the girl starting babbling about Boogie, "it's come out... but of course it should be all sold out by now".

and so i took a look, and indeed all i see is the $59.99 price tag but no more copies of Boogie.

it might be doing a respectable amount of sales!

the Wii is an epidemic.

1UP admits to being strongly against Nintendo's Wii, this is not news. Ckmlb, just because they give good reviews to some games, doesn't make them unbiased, it could simply just mean they can't afford to give bad review to all games or too unbelievable to give bad reviews to some games. It's well known they are anti-Wii, they've said this themselves and have frequently spoken out against the use of the Wii-mote in gaming and have made various comments about this factoring into thier reviews. You're certainly entitled to your opinion on their objectivity, but don't use an entire fanbase as a scapgoat to dismiss anyone who doesn't agree with you.

Seriously who uses 1up for Wii reviews? They pretty much blatantly hate the system and motion controls in general.

The same 1up that gave LoZ:TP three perfect 10s and the Game of the Year award. Ya ..... they sure are biased.

I don't agree with that either.

TP is good game, but it was nowhere near a 10 - and not even close to GOTY in my opinion.

...

Its not so much bias, as inconsistency. You can't do much better than comparing across the board scores of 1UP with that on gamerankings. A couple are too high, some are very close - and a lot of then are much lower than the norm.

TP = 10, RE4 = 8, Sonic = 7.5?

I agree that we should create a new thread to debate this in.

Either way, Boogie looks average at best.

Sonic and the Secret Rings deserves a 7.5. RE4 would most likely have gotten higher if it would have had more than just Wii controls added on.

My point is that they DON'T balantly hate the Wii.

Actually, they do. 1UP's Wii scores are about 9-10% below the average. Do some research.
