I'm not one to jump on the bandwagon but the disparity between 1up vs. everyone else is hard to ignore.

Well, Boogie didn't look like a big title, so I don't feel strange about ranking.

1Up and EGM actually HATES motion controls .The same happened with the Lair Beta they happily reviewed .

I'd love to see a source for that. However, since I know you don't have one I'm going to go ahead and predict how this ends:

You leave the topic, or at least ignore the request for a source and continue posting ridiculous statements to defend a freaking game you haven't played yet.

I suspect the same. I'd also like to see him show that 1up hates all PC games, given that the mouse is very much a motion-sensing device.

Saying they hate all motion sensing controls is a bit much, but if there is any validity such a broad claim it probably only applies to consoles, more specifically the Wii, which we know for a fact they have a dislike for. I don't see how taking the issue of the mouse which most people don't associate with controls like the Wii-mote and Six-axis proves much of anything other than finding a loophole in technicality. I think you might be jumping too many degrees of seperation here to make a point.

1UP Has said themselves they don't care for the Wii or Wiimote. We know this much. Whether this affects thier ranking system or not is debateable, but the disparity between their ranking and others' for this game is not ignoreable regardless what conclusions you draw from it.

Too early to tell for sure with just 2 reviews, but I am guessing it will settle down in the 60s on metacritic. Hey, Marioparty 8 has a 63, and it's already over 900K in the US, so who knows what sales will do....

Metacritic has 4 reviews in, so it's did it's average...  It's currently at 65, which is right where I expected this game...  can't get any more in the middle of the 60's than that...  lol

That will put it almost in the exact middle of all the wii games for ranking.

1up is biased... or maybe not?

Maybe this game is targeting 1 1/2 year olds who can't even speak yet to further expand the "casual gamer" market...

We don't provide the 'easy to program for' console that they [developers] want, because 'easy to program for' means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so the question is what do you do for the rest of the nine and half years? It's a learning process. - SCEI president Kaz Hirai

It's a virus where you buy it and you play it with your friends and they're like, "Oh my God that's so cool, I'm gonna go buy it." So you stop playing it after two months, but they buy it and they stop playing it after two months but they've showed it to someone else who then go out and buy it and so on. Everyone I know bought one and nobody turns it on. - Epic Games president Mike Capps

We have a real culture of thrift. The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games. - Activision CEO Bobby Kotick

Can somebody tell me why this game would deserve an 8 or more?

Edit: sorry talking about Wii fit..

Excellent jab, Sinha. Out of curiosity, why is it inherently bad that a 1 1/2 year old can play this game?

I just think it's funny that the fact that the game is approachable by everyone is automatically assumed -- by you, among others -- to be a bad thing. I actually think that this should increase the score. It shows that our sense of "value" is different.

Looked to me like everybody was having fun. Mission accomplished.

Plus if you notice it said it was set at level easy. It's cool that the easy level is actually easy.  If it was 4 out of 5 stars on a difficult level then I might be concerned.
