Sony has versus exclusivity
Sony has Japan FF exclusivity
A number of exclusive PSP titles

IU wont be coming to PS3 because its owned by microsoft
The last Star Ocean sold better in NA
SO4 will likely go to PS3 if it sells well on the 360. (not if it sells poorly)


SE is not ignoring the Wii (my life as a king, chocobos dungeon, dragon quest)
SE is not ignoring the DS (im not gonna list them all)

I think its crappy too but it has nothing to do with Square´s "neutrality". They only care about reaching the majority of their potential customers, not favorizing a certain console over another when saleswise they are in competition.

And believe me a major company like square enix has no difficulties porting games to the ps3 or make a stripped down version to the wii. If they want to reach many customers release the game on pc.

 

2.Star ocean 4 is quite big in japan and would sell alot more on the ps3 than the 360 this is a fact. There is no reasons whatsoever that star ocean 4 should remain Exclusive judging from their "neutrality"In fact all the games would sell better on the ps3 in japan.

 

3. If star ocean 4 and the other games becomes timed exclusive for the 360 in all regions then why dont they release ff13 earlier on the ps3? It will be finished before the 360 version after all....

 

The answer is of course simple. MS paid them money, theres nothing else to it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 1.) Some developers actually CARE about making a highend game in terms of graphics.. Thats why FFXIII isn't on Wii.

 

2.) MS probably bought out Star Ocean 4. if they did, then this means that it is NOT a timed exclusive. However, if you want to continue the whining in favor of a timed exclusive, it simply means that Square is able to produce Star Ocean faster on the 360 then PS3.

 

3.) You want MS to be the root of all problems and be the "big evil corp who takesEEVVVERYTHING. Sorry, things don't always work that way. Though you may be right. In that case lets complain about how Sony took METAL GEAR Solid from Nintendo and Final Fantasy from ninty.



GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

Then you never paid much attention to square. As someone who has paid attention to them since their NES games... money is all they've ever cared about.

You favor Sony so i can see why you wouldn't of noticed... but during the PS1 and PS2 eras they were buying and absorbing studios left and right, breaking them up destroying franchises and moving people around.


Square is the EA of Japan.

as long as they keep bringing games to the 360, i am happy. also infinite undiscovery and its sequels will only be on 360, why because like some ppl said ms owns the ip rights and doesnt matter what square-enix wants with another infinite undiscovery game, its up to ms and i am sure that ms and tri-ace will bring out more games themselves. i think as this year's tgs square-enix might anounce a new grandia game, hoping anyways.

Probably is more related with the current invest on the HD dev kids, devs and artist, this happened before the success of the Wii, like MGS4,GTA4,RE5,DMC4....

Right now looks like is better to share a port and don´t change the game (Engine, Models, Textures) rather than change to the Wii...

Complaining about hypocrisy is simple "whining?" Versus is still exclusive to the PS3, SO4 until further notice is exclusive to the 360. What other titles besides XIII are going multi-platform? I think it's hypocritical to say this is the age of multi-platform and only have like one title going multi-platform.

if there even was any to begin with. if you had read the rest of the multiplatform sentence... "but depending on age and territory, users have different tastes." Suggesting their games have not all been targeting a particular audience. Obviously they feel those games better target the owners of those systems.
