I can't believe that graphically they are identical. Is this the sort of treatment that Wii owners are going to have to contend with for the foreseeable future. Basically adding Wiiremote functionality and repacking it for the Wii and selling it as a new game. You could see if they enhanced it graphically, to see what the Wii could do with the same game.

This doesn't bode well for 3rd party games on the Wii at all. I'm surprised 3rd party companies are doing this, especially seeing as the Wii is outselling both the 360 and PS3 by bucket loads.

Nice one. Is this just blatant trolling, or what?

The Wii version has, from the very start, been known to use EXACTLY the same graphics/assets as the GC version. No graphics have been updated, nor was anyone expecting the graphics to be updated.

The additions of true 16:9 (more rendering on screen at anytime), plus proper 480p (higher resolution) are more than enough improvement, in terms of graphic fidelity. The game looked awesome to start with (a GC game that looks better than many 360/PS3 titles ever did).

Throw in Wii-mote control, much better aiming, new 'context' events/controls, additional content (from both the PS2/PC versions, plus more) and a budget price tag - and they are definitely on a winner. I'll almost certainly get this, even though I have the GC version (and finished it).

This is trolling? how is it trolling? what if he didn't know what you assume everyone did? If this is trolling then some of the stuff you pull is downright ban worthy....

Chill out.

Also of course it looks good compared to some PS3 and 360 games if those games are badly made and look like crap, what are you trying to prove here?

It was already known that the game has no graphical update. The price-tag, the additional content from other versions and 16:9 make it worth a buy. And I will buy it, if it comes uncensored to germany. If you want updated graphics, wait for the umbrella chronicles.

You all seem to forget that it's going to include the ada wong mission from the ps2 with improved visuals to the GC level, plus all the cinematics are going to be real time. (ps2 had recorded CG cut-scenes.)

I played that version, I am just getting it for Wii controls and to play the game again on a different console haha, yes this game is that good.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

I never played it on the GC and was aware it is exactly the same as on the Wii.
It's not the kind of game I would usually buy but it is more interest to me because it uses the Wii remote.
If graphics never got any better than this game it wouldn't bother me so long as the gameplay was there.

I am not going to bust on a game that I have never played. What I will do is say that if they didn't add some things, some Easter Eggs, some different playmodes, something, it will be somewhat of a disappointment. I think that we should probably withold judgement until we play the game before we crucify it. I remember playing MGS: The Twin Snakes, on the Gamecube and thinking, "Man this is the same game!" Well, it was the same game! But after I later played the old Playstation version, I realized that there was alot of graphical improvements that I hadn't noticed before. Most likely because I hadn't played, MGS for like 3 years. Either way, I don't own RE4 so I will likely buy it either way. I do wish the third party guys would really get behind these Wii games and give them the treatment they deserve. The masses have spoken! The Wii has been accepted. Now the third parties need to get on the ball.

Its been known for sometime that RE4 for Wii would have all of the added content from the PS2 version along with the superior graphics of the GC version and true 16:9 support. The GC version already supports 480p but its letterboxed. The PS2 version had 16:9 support but took a significant hit graphically. The Wii version takes the best aspects of both in addition to adding a terrific motion and pointer based control scheme.

Just got the Wii version, can´t say anything bout additional content, but the controlls are spot on and the game just looks sweeeeeet, this game is the big reason why Wii fans don´t care about NextGen grafix, if the GC was able to pull this of everything better is just a bonus, plus now pointing at the zombies and shooting them is to cool, everybody has to get this game

Hey where do you live man? Its not out in the States yet.

I pre-ordered it too. I know it's a GC game with Wii controls. It's also $30, so it seems like a good value to me.
