Okay, time to stop shitting on this thread. Starcraft, you know better than to venture into the Sony forum... It never leads to good things.

The title, OP and many subsequent postings in this thread point out that the PS3 is getting a hell of a lot more hate from its owners than it is from me.

Someone attacked me even though I wasn't in the thread (|_emmiwinks) and I provided a jokular response.

Ban me if you think you have the merit to do so, but I will be a full member of this site that can freely visit all of its forums to discuss my hobby (gaming) or I won't be a member at all.

Edit: In short, I wont be held responsible for the immaturity some members of this site show in attempting to deal with my presence in a thread. My appearance seems to cause an absolute spasm for some of the posters on this site (regardless of what I'm saying), they normally go unchecked.

Well every time you think this console has turned the corner, it just hasn't.

Tons of delays, crappy launch, overpriced at the start, constantly changing SKU's, taking features OUT (Back Compat) without getting key features delivered (cross-XMB, Friends, video store, Home).

Hey here comes GTA and DMC which are Sony exclusives!...oh. Well at least they moved boxes.....oh wait.  At least the ratio of GTA sales was strong ...oh wait, in one more week at the rate of last week, it's gonna be the 2:1 ratio in North America that no one said could happen?  

Hey! Exclusive shooter with lots of hype....oh. Hey Lair is our savior!....oops. Hey Heavenly Sword is awesome, and the game is over before the sentence ends. Uncharted and Ratchet are legitimately awesome but don't sell all that well. Shelling out for a controller with rumble instead of getting it out of the box. Shelling out for a headset versus getting it (and having voice standard.)

Crappy multiplatform ports (and delays for them).

I could go on, but it all adds up, ya know? It wears on you. Yes, MGS4 will help ease the pain, but you can only go on potential for so long before the fact that they are under-delivering on the experiences really weighs you down. They told me that my PS3 was going to play everything bigger and better and blow me away, and it's just not happening.

Don't get me wrong. I like it and most of the games are good, but the fact that I play not just the 360 but my old PS2 slim more than the PS3 says something about Sony this gen.

These are called hate cycles. I joined the forums here to defent for the hate PS3 was getting but then i found out that these are hate cycles and they come and go. I hated all consoles at some point in time, PS3 when mine broke (now i have a new one), Wii when i bought it and got dissapointed by its graphics (now i love it), x360 just because is made from microsoft (always hated microsoft, but now i kinda like vista). The hate though came always from my reasons.

So my guess is that some PS3 users are dissapointed at this time from the console, and the result is hate. Things will change

It's called success. People hate on the ps3 because they are afriad and don't want their beloved consoles to be servants again the the ps power :D Well if not that. They are scared of Snake :D

So being in a distant third place is success now? Interesting.

People just need to relax and get along. That's what I say.
