I think it was either with Super Mario Odyssey or Breath of The Wild. I couldn't believe the Switch was capable of rendering all that.

Huh? Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey?

Not Red Dead 2?

Not Horizon Zero Dawn?

Not GTAV?

Not Witcher 3?

Not Fallout 4?

C'mon man... Take off your Nintendo glasses... Breath of the Wild/Mario was not "surprising" on either rendering OR visual fidelity... Least of all when you compare them to the games above...

Pixels aren't everything, friend.

"You should be banned. Youre clearly flaming the president and even his brother who you know nothing about. Dont be such a partisan hack"

Motorhead by Digital Illusions from 1998.

Sure it might not look so impressive today but back then I wondered how the heck my computer could run it looking so well.

Sure the reflections in the cars wasn't real time but just the same reflection looped over and over (something you didn't really notice when actually playing the game). And of course the game suffered from the late 90-ies phenomenon of an overabundance of lens flair. But the game ran flawlessly with a graphical fidelity that was amazing for 1998 and it was a fun arcade racer also.

Days Gone. Just looking at the ground was incredible. It looked real.

Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online on the PS4 Pro. Jeeeesus Christ. How is this level of technical ineptitude even possible? It uses Unreal Engine 4. I can't even.....This game should run at 60fps on the vanilla PS4, let alone the Pro. I'm very. Fucking. Surprised. I love Nep-Nep but this game tests that love. It still passes. Because that's what love is. But the testing. It has a close to 4 MINUTE boot up sequence. I feel like I'm starting an awful PS1 game every time I begin....but that's not surprising graphics. The frame rate in this game fluctuates wildly. With no logical reason. The overall visual presentation is VERY SURPRISING. It even has "PS4 Pro Enhanced" on the box, which is now just as meaningless as the old "Official Nintendo Seal Of Quality" from the NES days. Still mostly enjoying it though.....

Battlefield 1 was very great when it came out.

Cuphead, I grew up watching old cartoons like bugs bunny and popeye, playing cuphead felt like playing a old cartoon, plus the animation was so cool and the soundtrack fitted the gameplay perfectly, wow I just loved that game never though a run and gun would match gunstar heroes.

Uncharted 4 doesn't get the love it deserves. It looks better than any game prior Red Dead 2.

It was Batman Arkham Asylum on PC in 2009.
