Looks like you missed my point. The fact mod history only goes back to 2008 is how he knew it was implemented in 2008.

Let me explain. He got banned in that thread before the start of the mod history so you mentioning the mod history didnt make sense. Which is why i chimed in since his personal database which talon refers towards as mindscape cant be purely the mod history, which again you implied

I think back to how many features were really lacking back then - it's amazing this site even got off the ground!! Just moderating in the beginning was an absolute chore - people would report posts, but the mod jobs weren't able to specify exactly which post was at issue, it would only point you to the thread, forcing you to read through the entire thing in hopes of MAYBE being able to identify the offending post!! Ha! Ha!! Good times.

Well, that explains why mods did what they wanted back then.
