I'm still surprised that there is a war coming for streaming services like Netflix, but not one other big company tried to attack YouTube.

YouTube clearly has a difficult relationship with its userbase, it would be a perfect opportunity to offer nice deals to big Youtubers and get them to move on another platform. Vimeo is too small and Dailymotion is shit, but Facebook, Apple or Amazon could easily create their own platform, and as far as I know there is nothing... But they all jump on Netflix territory with no hesitation. Weird.

I've been listening to Tim Pool a lot. I discovered him about a month ago and really like his perspective and reporting on the current state of the media and political affairs. I was really surprised to see a video pop up in a thread here. It seems like most things I get into I eventually see here on vgchartz.

I don't know, but they've monetized almost every video and sometimes there's ads at the beginning, middle, AND ending of a video. It's so annoying that they're desperately trying to get revenue, but I guess people who began to make money off of YouTube are to blame, everyone does it for the money and non premium users have to deal with 3 annoying ads per video.

But they will get it back pretty soon and make even more money than they did with their Investment the last years.

Big fines often crash your value but it only takes a week or so and it will be back to normal. In the end that fine is just a joke for Google

"Get woke go broke" doesn't mean that someone literally goes broke. It just means that when identity politics and forced diversity is pushed into a given service or form of entertainment, it tends to result in dividing the fan base and loss of revenue and brand power. Sure, Captain Marvel did good, but without all the identity bullshit from Brie Larson it would have done much better. They should have done what Wonder Woman did, just give us a kick-ass female character that's true to the source material without any feminist lecturing and talking down to fans. Only being a Marvel movie that leads up to the biggest Marvel movie of all time prevented this film from becoming a total flop. That's why Disney let her run her mouth without intervening. Same with the latest Star Wars movie. It was going to do well in general terms just for being a SW movie, but if you go into the metrics, it didn't do nearly as well as was internally projected and the brand has suffered considerably because the true fans have soured on it and no longer expect greatness, but rather some stupid politics. The SW franchise has never seen such fragmentation and downward trending. J.J. Abrams has his work cut out him, if he's going to undo all the damage in the last film.

Then probably one of your gaming channel involve in politic as well. Because politic knowdays has come into everything from video games (gamergate, SJW, Feminisme, censoring etc), gadget shows, PC building tutorial, anime and movie. Even PewDiePie who are gamer are getting attacked by Journalist and political movement. It's part of Youtube Algoritme defect, that's why all connected thanks to Youtube.
