I think Yoshi will be a March game. It popped up on the eShop the other day with a 2019 date put i assume that will be Nintendo’s next game after Mario. Animal Crossing i think will be a August-game. Daemon XMachina i can see being a May-release. I agree that there will be a Odyssey 2 in 2020, and hopefully Pikmin 4

Forgot about Fire Emblen which i think is a May-release. Daemon X Machina is either a April or june game in that case

It'll be a packed year, that much we know.

*Dragon Quest XI S has since been given a release date of 2019 for Japan.

Nintendo games will come out in this order:

Normally I would agree since there were a few Nintendo schedules that followed the actual release dates in the past but this one to me feels like it goes from the game we know the most about to the game we know nothing about

I remark in bold those games that already have a confirmed month release. I also attach tag to those games that I consider that may appear in 2019

Hello all and happy holidays!

I just wanted to create a thread to speak about the 2019 Switch LineUp, making reference to the main games:

2019

January

Tales of Vesperia

New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe

No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again

February

V-Rally 4
Resident Evil HD
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered

March

Animal Crossing
Dead or Alive Extreme 3
Samurai Warriors 4 DX

April

Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Saints Row: The Third
Mortal Kombat 11

May

Yoshi's Crafted World
Team Sonic Racing
Final Fantasy VII/IX

June

Crash Team Racing
Doom Eternal

July

Dragon Quest XI S
Resident Evil 0 HD
HellPoint

August

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3
Final Fantasy X/X-2
Mario Golf

September

Town
Daemon X Machina
FIFA 2020

October

Luigi's Mansion 3
Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age

November

Pokemon 8th generation
Call of Duty Remaster

December

Resident Evil 4 HD
Metroid Prime Trilogy
Persona 5 Reloaded

Possible Key Movements:

-  May Nintendo make an early release of Animal Crossing in March in order to get a boost hardware sales and achieve 20M units mark in this   fiscal year?

-  May Nintendo announce Mario Golf for Swith this Summer?

- May Nintendo announce Persona 5 Reloaded for Holiday Season?

- May Call of Duty series come back to a Nintendo console in some way?

2020

  • Pikmin 4
  • Metroid Prime 4
  • Bayoneta 3
  • Super Mario Odyssey 2
  • The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Remaster
  • Metal Gear Solid 5
  • Final Fantasy XIII
  • Resident Evil 5
  • Sin Megami Tensei V
  • Ridge Racer 8
  • Super Mario Maker Deluxe
2020 could be very good too for Nintendo.
What are your thoughts?

Put Dragon Quest XI on both 2019 and 2020 (2020 being the western release)

MGS V, I really doubt that, looked like both Kojima and Konami torched the franchise and ran with it. But I wouldn't mind, either.

Resident Evil 5 was marred in controversy and is ages old by now, I doubt they'll dig it out for the Switch, especially since they rebooted the series in the meanwhile.

I don't think we'll get an Odyssey 2, or any 3D Mario for that matter so soon after the masterpiece that was Odyssey.

I think Yoshi coming out in March and Fire Emblem in April (in time for Goldenweek)

Hoping for not just MK 11, but also MK X to be ported to the Switch. And Both Injustice also while we're at it (the first one was on the Wii U already btw).

On another note, I believe SNES titles will be coming to Nintendo Switch Online in Summer (for Obon Week), though N64 titles only 2021.

Finally, Pikmin 3 should finally get released next year.

Why not a Mario Odyssey 2 in 2020? First Mario Odysseys was launched on Chritsmas 2017. Super Mario Galaxy on the Wii appeared on 2007 and then in 2010 we had Super Mario Galaxy 2

2 Reasons:

1. Programming a new game takes considerably more time these days than pre-HD

2. Odyssey is such a tough act to follow I'm sure they don't try just yet (n.b.: That's also why the N64 has no Metroid, the developers just found Super Metroid such a tough act to follow that they didn't dare to do so for years)

Dragon Quest 11 and Final Fantasy 12 - I don't see FF12 releasing AFTER DQ12. because: A) Dragon Quest isn't officially unveiled for the West yet, but it is in Japan, which means that it is likely going to be a while in translation. B) FF12 has been unveiled for the West. C) FF12 is a fairly straight up port while Dragon Quest 11 is significantly more involved, it likely will need a lot more in translation, while FF12's is already done.

Metroid Prime 4 - 2019, they announced it in 2017, this isn't a Zelda or Final Fantasy game, this game will come in Fall 2019 at the latest.

Animal Crossing and Pokemon - I feel these are mixed up because A) Pokemon will give a huge boost to the Switch at any point in the year while Animal Crossing won't. B) Animal Crossing will be substantially boosted by the holiday season proximity, but Pokemon will only see a slight benefit. C) Historically, Pokemon generally releases in March to October, while Animal Crossing generally releases in November/December.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I could see something like this for 2019. talking only about exclusive games:

-NSMBDX - January
-Metroid Trilogy HD - February-March
-Deamon x Machina - March-April
-Yoshi - March-April
-Wii U port - May
-Fire Emblem - May-June
-Animal Crossing - June-July
-Wii U port - August
-Town - September
-Zelda 2D or Zelda 3D port - September-October
-Lugis Mansion 3 - October
-Pokemon - November
-Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 - November
-Metroid Prime 4 or Bayonetta 3 - December

Of Course with adition of more possible exclusive 3rd party games and more possible 1st party games.

I feel like both Bayonetta 3 and Metroid Prime 4 may be pushed back for 2020. Pokemon 8th generation is going to be huge next Christmas. Don't need to have other big Nintendo game at all for that period (although Bayonetta is not Nintendo)

I mean they are still not confirmed like 2019. releases so technically they can't be pushed back to 2020. All depends when those games will be finished, if one of them is finished and ready for 2019. launch, I dont think Nintendo would push them in 2020.
