Well, if that doesn't prove the pro Nintendo bias of reviewers.

Indeed. Praise Nintendo is all video game "journalists" do.

What happened to Kirby Star Allies, Mario Tennis, and Super Mario Party then?

To me, anyone who turns to that tired excuse clearly only wants to see what they want to see.

I think he was being sarcastic.

Edit: I think even vivster was sarcastic but he's a wild card.

Viv is unreadable lol.

Maybe he was.  I just get tired of hearing it from those that actually mean it lol.

Yes of course, that's the dumbest excuse ever when just recently a certain cowboy game got love and praise everywhere although it's plagued by multiple issues. What both of these obsevations rather tell us that reviewers tend to rate games for having a heavy atmosphere. If a certain vibe is inherent, if the flow is consistent, if the game manages to get us involved into it's underlying subject, we the players tend to get swayed away by the themes and images and so we like certain games even if they may have some flaws and issues, and I'm fine with that. Every opinion about a game, whether from reviewers or from gamers, is subjective after all.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I'm tired of this excuse. "It's because its Nintendo," "It's because its Rockstar," "It's because its Sony," etc. I don't give a rip. Read the reviews and take those reviews for what you will. Ultimately, its up to you to care to buy the game to judge for yourself or not.

It's not like that excuse has done much for games like Yoshi's New Island, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, Star Fox Zero, Metroid Prime Federation Force, Geist, etc.

*Ka-chinggggg*

Correct. On both hypotheses. I think.

I'll definitely buy it!
