It’s a bunch of estimates and also incorrect. The PS4 number for 2017 is incorrect and XB1 numbers are also incorrect. Unless the XB1 sold less than zero units outside the US in 2017.

It’s just a market research company trying to guess at total sales. The PS4 numbers from 2013 to 16 are straight from Sony’s financial reports.

Jesus christ. Over 3 times xb1. Over 100k over the switch. With red dead week and black friday coming up switch will have a hard time catching the ps4 this year. I'm starting to see why Sony didn't drop the price. They seem to be struggling to keep up with ps4 demand even at the current price.

Another week of health lead, but Switch is still selling well and preparing for holidays.

But seeing the 800k revision of PS4 numbers it's possible that several of the weeks Switch outsold PS4 actually didn't happen. The PS4 lead increased to 2.6M so it is getting a little harder for Switch to end the year in first.

PS4 already dominating the chart without Black Friday boost or Red Dead Redemption 2 (and keep in mind that Sony also didn't make any price cuts)! I never once doubted that the PS4 would beat the Switch in 2018 and I still predict that PS4 will be the number 1 console in 2018. It's the 5th year while Switch is still very new in the market. Playstation 4 is a freaking beast!

OOOoooo. That's bold. 2018 calendar year is a solid, yet uncertain bet. BF and Xmas is an pretty iffy proposition. We'll have to see how much impact Shitty Pokemon has. That's not to say Pokemon in general is shitty. I'm calling it that because it looks shitty. Like I call Shenmue "Shitty Yakuza".

PS4 will likely take Black Friday & November as a whole, but Christmas?

Official data from Sony/Nintendo has PS4 at 3 million from Dec 3 to Dec 31 while Switch did 3 million from Dec 10 to Dec 31.

PS4 should be down YoY like it has been all year while Switch should be up so Switch likely takes December.
