HYPE!!!
Time for some preditions
-First of all, they will start this direct with the 3DS announcements as usual.I personally dont expect this part to last more than 5 minutes, and honestly I dont care what they announce for the 3DS, because I am personally tired of the system.
- Then the Switch announcements begins. Its hard to say what will be there, so Ill start this off saying that the Smash content in this direct will be very minimal compared to past directs. We will be getting one character reveal(Rex please) and that will be it.And it wont be the last surprise of the direct.
- One thing they will focus on will be the Online Service. But they wont do it in a boring way.Outside of announcing the remaining 10 NES games and maybe shed some lights on the future plans of the service, I believe they will detail the service alongside a game.So lets say that Mario Kart 9 is announced(it wont, its just an example), as they reveal the game features, they will keep adding commentaries like "And now, with the Nintendo Online Services, you will be able to have dedicated servers for this game and any that is covered under the service!" or something of the sort. This way they keep the presentation entertaining and at a good pace. The nitty gritty details they will leave out of the presentation, and will release them on a site somewhere, or on a PR.
-We wont be seeing Retro project (again) if its that Star Fox, simply because of Starlink.Nintendo wont burn Ubisoft, when Ubi himself is trying to sell this game mainly to the crowd that likes Star Fox on the Switch. If thats not the project they have been working on, or if they are doing two projects at once, then SHOW THE DAMN GAME ALREADY!
-Its very possible that rumored 2D Mario game will be revealed.I personally dont care about it, since I have played Super Mario Bros U, but it will be a nice addition for this year.
-XCX wont be revealed here because of the XC 2 DLC.Instead, that will be a surprise for the january direct and will probably have a release date of around March or April.
-Since Bayonetta 3 is still far away(I think), I believe we will be getting a W101 announcement with an release date of January or february.
-Then there are thrid parties. Its really hard to say one way or another, since they are very unpredictable when it comes to Nintendo.Having said that, their presence have been growing, so I expect to see lots of announcements from them here, port or otherwise.I especially expect to see a big presence of Square and Bandai here, and Im hopeful that Capcom will start to properly support the Switch.
- Oh, and Wolf Young Blood will be announced for the Switch here. Its very likely that the game is in development for the Switch, so they might as well just reveal it here.
- Leaving third parties behind, I do expect to either Bayo 3 or MP 4 be shown here.I do have an odd feeling that it will be MP 4, even if its just a CG trailer, but I guess we will see. This appearance will be to mostly drive hype for Switch for next year.
- Then there is FE, and we will definely not only get a better look on it, but most likely get a release date for it.Graphics will be nicer and cleaner, and they will most likely going to dedicate some minutes to it.
- There is Yoshi too, and it will be shown, but Im not hyped for that game.
- Finally, Nintendo will have one new announcement to make(Outside of the Mario 2D game). It will be glorious, and we will start to weep out of sheer excitement. My guess would be either the rumored Ridge Racer game, or it will be and horror themed game!
