Lol some of these questions are so ambigious so i dont find the test very accurate but here is my result:

https://8values.github.io/results.html?e=68.3&d=73.4&g=63.8&s=74.8

Social liberal, but those tests should be larger and hold better questions.

Not what I expected. Thought I was more center-left.
With that in mind, the left vs right political spectrum is a bit different here.

Pretty much all for Equality (Equity is more important), Environment, Capitalism, Patriotism, Military and Security.
Against Religion.

I fall technically outside a lot of the political categories that people use. I don't consider myself to be conservative, moderate, liberal, libertarian, or progressive. I do, however, consider myself well to the left of center.

The basic reason I don't consider myself progressive is because I believe that industrial civilization is ecologically unsustainable and that soon or later humanity will have to revert back to simpler modes of existence. I don't consider myself a liberal or a libertarian because I'm not that much of an individualist. I favor an economy (if one can even call such a thing an economy) that is based on the free sharing of property and resources and which recognizes humanity as belonging to nature rather than nature belonging to us. I don't consider myself a conservative then either for obvious reasons. I'm much too egalitarian-minded for that. And moderation is something that I have always struggled with, and I don't just mean politically.

I consider myself a leftie, right-winger and a hippie. Simply I am everything, what it means I just take whatever political positions I consider is the best and can change those at any minute. In my opinion being a blind ideologist is foolish (hope I don't get banned for that) you should not be loyal to something no matter what. Base your policy positions on facts and logic. It's the best.

I don't like reducing political views to a one-dimensional scale. Even a 3D scale would be insufficient.

But if I have to pick one, I'd say I'm center-left (which is clearly left by US standards).

Edit: I did that 8values thing. It's a lot more interesting than picking left or right, but still kinda vague.

Thanks for sharing! Didn't know it. We got pretty mucht he same restuls, except for the economic axis. My results:

the united states is more left than all american countries except canada. Gay rights and black rights are in the spotlight way more frequent here than lets say brazil or mexico.
I am proud to be center left, fuck racism homophobia xenophobia greed but being a radical leftist is bad where people try and tell you saying silly crap is enough reason to fire them and destroy their life. mob following is for sheep be it left or right

Umm... we just had 14 years of a far left government in Brazil, and from what I see, prejudice against back people is much worse in the United States.

In fact, I can't think of many democratic countries that holds as much prejudice against "outsiders" or people that are "different" than the US.

While the U.S has a ton of prejudice "against outsiders" and "different" people, polls suggest it is still one of the most positive "western" countries when it comes to diversity, which does reflect itself in the laws.

Interesting test posted by Fillix at the start of the thread. Haven't seen that site before (I usually use Political Compass once every few years but find it inadequate).

Actually sc94597 did it first. I just edited my post because I didn't want to make a new one.

Btw, I'm kinda surprised that no one here is more economically left than me. I wouldn't even consider myself a socialist.

I think it is a flaw in how they measure "equality" and "market." I consider myself to be a socialist, I want the workers to control the means of production and to federate as they had in Revolutionary Catalonia. I am anti-capitalist. But I get "centrist" because I am not against the use of markets/commodity exchange under specific conditions (the abolition of private property) and I don't support government (I am an anarchist.)

That is just the flaw with these tests, they depend on a dichotomous thinking of government vs. markets, when an actual libertarian socialist is either against both, or sees markets as useful under certain conditions.

Still they're useful if you don't want to think only in terms of "left" vs. "right."

Here is another interesting test I found.

http://www.abtirsi.com/quiz2.php

"You are a: Left-Leaning Anarchist Total-Isolationist Bleeding-Heart Libertine

Collectivism score: 17%
Authoritarianism score: -83%
Internationalism score: -83%
Tribalism score: -83%
Liberalism score: 100%

Explanation key:

Collectivism refers economic intervention, whether the society or state should intervene in the economy to redistribute wealth from the more to the less successful. The negative percentages indicate opposition to such intervention.

Authoritarianism refers to state power to control the actions of individuals to prevent them from harming others or themselves, and also to establish the will of the majority over society. Negative percentages indicate opposition to state power.

Internationalism refers to political involvement in other nations or global affairs, either via war, treaty or international organizations. Negative percentages indicate isolationist beliefs, and the belief in national sovereignty.

Tribalism refers to identity or nationalism, favoring your own nation over foreigners. Negative percentages indicate opposition to national or ethnic identity and oriented towards pan-humanism.

Liberalism refers to acceptance of historically illegal or immoral social practices or customs. Negative percentages indicate opposition to such acceptance
."

I should have done this test in the first place rather than just explain, however my laptop will not let me just post the pic so I'll leave a link.
