I'm pretty sure that most people couldn't build a better rig themselves for $500 US.  Especially since a lot of graphic cards are overpriced since a lot of people use them for mining for cyber currencies instead of playing games.

$250 is the MSRP but MS have done deals that bring it don to $230 + a game this year. Last Holiday it was $200 though.
