Does anyone else have the impression that "clear your cache" is the new "have you tried to turn it off and on"?

It's a joke! Please don't get offended! (I can't believe I'm apologizing for a simple joke, but things have gone out of hand before and I don't want it to happen again)

Please excuse my bad English.

I think font size 15px looks quite a bit better than the current 16px. 16px is OK-ish by itself, but I think it looks a bit large compared to other text elements on the forums. Also, the grey bar under (not below) post buttons (Reply, Quote etc.) has a humongous amont of empty space below the buttons, which increases the need to scroll without really providing much benefit IMHO. I'm not sure if there's a good reason for that space, but I don't see any so I'm assuming there isn't one.

Just for the record, I've made some small tweaks using Stylus, and my forums look like this:

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Loving the look, sleek and crisp! But my response and hot topic bar is gone, won't work in Firefox or Chrome so likely not a cache issue. Makes it kinda difficult to carry on longer discussions.

So your answer to this new problem is not to do something about it but rather tell us to "hit enter, while holding shift"?

Yeah...

...no - my answer was, this is not something new (so far as I can tell) and has worked this way all along.

Which is what Ka-pi told me. Yet, as I said to him, I didn't notice that change at all until the roll out of the new forums.

One way to save up on vertical space would be to put the post controls bar (with the like button and post buttons, such as Reply and Quote) only below post content and not below user stuff as well. I'm not sure if it would cause any issues with mobile use though, but I at the moment I can't see any drawbacks (besides the work of course) on PC.

I've been giving out quite a few suggestions here, so I must again remind that I think the new forums are pretty neat. There's just a few little things that could be better so here we are.

Look at the URL - change the "https" to "http" - problem solved, I promise...   ;)

Only temporarily.
It's a perpetual pain in my posterior.

I need to know which links you're using, that are appending the "https" so I can fix it...

So, I assume switching the site to HTTPS is on the backburner then?

All of them, except the very main page.

...I'm sure you noticed your signature is double-spaced - right? Have you attempted to edit or add to it recently? I assure you - the signature editor has NOT been changed at this point, and you'll see the same exact double-spacing there.

I never pay attention to my sig, and the list time I changed something was over a year ago, so it goes without saying that no, I didn't notice that my sig was double-spaced.

But thanks for pointing it out to me, because now it's way too big for my liking and I'll change it a bit.
