Forums - Gaming Discussion - God of War is probably the best game of this generation so far

I will try to "engage" the community more just to make you happy.

It isn’t about my happiness. You have a habit of posting once and then abandoning ship. Moderators noticed. Users noticed. So, that’s now over.

Why is this a rule though? The thread was already growing thanks to a lot of discussion between users. I dont understand why it needs specifically the OP to be a part of it, when he created the "home" /thread for it to take place by others in the community?

I've only seen you complain about it. No one has responded or messaged me about it.  I'm a busy man I will try to be responsive as I can I have a life outside of this website.

Doesn’t matter if I’m the only one you’ve seen say it. Not everyone will openly express their issues (though check The Moderator Thread - the community welcomes the new rule). Plus, like I said, you’ve made controversial topics in the past where you would post and leave. That has always been frowned upon, even if you were unaware.

Just try to work with the Rule. No you won’t be moderated at every turn, but it will be looked over more closely.

It seems odd to me that one is required to "engage" when starting a thread. I mean one can say everything one has to say about any given topic in one post. I don't understand the logic behind making an engagement in the thread as a mandatory requirement.

Now don't get me wrong, in actual threads I personally always end up engaging as I think of new things to add to the debate or as I try and debunk attacks, agree or disagree with others etc....

It's just that making it a requirement seems a bit odd.

Perhaps I should ask the question the other way around: What harm is there in starting a topic and not adding any more to it? Especially if the other people keep the thread alive? It's not like your lack of engagement would kill the thread if other people keep it alive.

Simple - if someone has a habit of creating topics, and those they are known to turn toxic, it becomes an issue. Now sure, if you don’t make a lot of those threads, or they don’t become issues, you probably won’t be in this situation. It’s stricter on repeat offenders or folks who create topics that are designed to put users against one another, only to leave the topic and not add any further input. That was a problem and plenty of people saw it.

If you’d like to know more, you can PM me about it.

OK, but I also Mods complain when such OP users do engage and add further flame to the fire making such threads even more toxic. So you cant win.

*you're

Explain to me how my opinion is wrong and how the OP's opinion is right. This should be fun.

Didnt say OP is right, just that you're wrong. BOTW is not close to the greatest game:

- poor dungeon design

-poor story

-poor musical score

-repetitive shrines

-poor post game content

-overpowered cooking makes for an increasingly easy game as it goes on

on and on and on... It's a good game, but it's missing a ton of what makes Zelda great,so not its not the best game of the gen. I'll give you top 5.

Weekend contrarians that wouldn't speak if it was on Playstation. Oh well, I guess all these people and myself (235h played) were wrong https://gotypicks.blogspot.com/

I'm mindblown. Beat it yesterday. Doing the other stuff now, Valkyries, realms, favors and labors. level 5 now

Eh? It has a lock on feature. And if you re using it unsuccessfully, then i dont know. When i miss enemies its either because i m not adjusted to the combat system and not good enough or they dodged.

What? Which button is that?

Yes, R3. Which isn't the best solution. I for one accidentally activate Rage pushing L3 (Sprint) + R3. Happened a few times.

Hunting Season is done...

Blogspot lol, you're linking me to a site that couldnt even afford their own domain?

And first of all, I've played 120hrs of BOTW, I don't see how I'm a "Playstation contrarian". OOT is my favorite game of all time. But sorry, BOTW is not even close to a 20 year old OOT. IF BOTW had proper, complex and massive dungeons, great music, better balanced cooking and a better story it would be the best game of all time. Maybe the next game, but BOTW is missing too many fundamentals to be at that level. Right now I cant even decide if the witcher 3 or BOTW is the better game.

Happened to me as well. At least you're able to cancel rage this time around so you don't waste it all.

OT: I'm about 10-15 hours in and it's at the top for sure but it won't beat Breath of the Wild for me.

Discredit source: Check.
Repeats himself: Check.
Claims to have played the game: Check.

This is going to get boring fast.
BotW is best game of this gen. That is my opinion, which is shared by many. You can have your own opinion. That is fine. Done.

That's good to hear this game is good, I think my view will be similar to yours based on similarities we have. Breath of the Wild is leagues ahead of any game I played this generation, so it will be tough to beat. I think because of the potential strong narrative Last of Us might come close, but right now Breath of the Wild beats anything for myself as the game of generation, Witcher 3 being distant second.
