I've only seen you complain about it. No one has responded or messaged me about it.  I'm a busy man I will try to be responsive as I can I have a life outside of this website.

Doesn’t matter if I’m the only one you’ve seen say it. Not everyone will openly express their issues (though check The Moderator Thread - the community welcomes the new rule). Plus, like I said, you’ve made controversial topics in the past where you would post and leave. That has always been frowned upon, even if you were unaware.

Just try to work with the Rule. No you won’t be moderated at every turn, but it will be looked over more closely.

It seems odd to me that one is required to "engage" when starting a thread. I mean one can say everything one has to say about any given topic in one post. I don't understand the logic behind making an engagement in the thread as a mandatory requirement.

Now don't get me wrong, in actual threads I personally always end up engaging as I think of new things to add to the debate or as I try and debunk attacks, agree or disagree with others etc....

It's just that making it a requirement seems a bit odd.

Perhaps I should ask the question the other way around: What harm is there in starting a topic and not adding any more to it? Especially if the other people keep the thread alive? It's not like your lack of engagement would kill the thread if other people keep it alive.

Simple - if someone has a habit of creating topics, and those they are known to turn toxic, it becomes an issue. Now sure, if you don’t make a lot of those threads, or they don’t become issues, you probably won’t be in this situation. It’s stricter on repeat offenders or folks who create topics that are designed to put users against one another, only to leave the topic and not add any further input. That was a problem and plenty of people saw it.

If you’d like to know more, you can PM me about it.

OK, but I also Mods complain when such OP users do engage and add further flame to the fire making such threads even more toxic. So you cant win.
