If that's how things go, Splatoon 2 has a shot at hitting 10 million lifetime I reckon, or close to it.

I would be down for a sequel if the Switch lasts long enough but if not, I think the Octo Expansion + all the mountains of free stuff will do. I do want to see them really push the boat out with 3 though. Go all out with presentation, make the campaign bigger and more elaborate, launch with a ton of maps, etc.

I keep hoping this will happen with the majority of franchises. I would be fine with an early release for the initial game and then a mix of updates and paid DLC to flesh out the rest of the game (or in some cases continue the story) all on one system and then the next generation the new game comes out.
