Even if they have to get the map drawing done via menu or whatever, I would prefer to see the series out live the DS and 3DS lines as it is a fun and challenging series. 

Not to mention I would love to see how it looks on a stronger console like the Switch. If the jump from DS to 3DS is a barometer it would be awesome .

I think this is why its not yet on the Switch.
Im not sure they have found out a "smart" way to go about doing it on a single screen yet.

Can we have one thread without some version of the whole "it needs to be on Switch!" thing. So fucking annoying.

The game looks cool. Let us talk about the actual fucking game.

I'd imagine that it's meant to be a celebration of the franchise in the same sense as Monster Hunter X.

(But, if you look at the games in release order, you'll also notice that this is the tenth game in the series - counting remakes and spin-offs.)
I -> II -> III -> IV -> Untold -> Mystery Dungeon -> II Untold -> V -> Mystery Dungeon 2 -> X

Or, if you prefer to be bittersweet about the whole thing...the X is referring to the series finally coming to an end.

Mystery Dungeon stuff is spin off's.
If this is a mainline game they should have called it 6 imo.

I don't know about the subtitle of the game yet, so I'll reserve my thoughts on this until the full title is revealed.

The game looks cool as fuck and I certainly get it and love it. But still I might articulate my fear, that the series could die with the 3DS. I would be more at ease, if they announce this and another version for Switch or announce it as cross-gen title.
