Trudeau is a figurehead that has spent a tonne of time trying his best to form positive international relationships, make a positive and progressive change, and isn't afraid to shed the image of most politicians.

He's courteous, he's intelligent, and he has his finger on the pulse of his people while also putting a lot of effort into issues that matter and will continue to be important in the future.

However, his boisterous persona makes him sort of look like a goof to those who prefer their politicians look professional. This has been a steady cause of problems.

Personally, I think he's exactly what Canada needs. He's good at his job while portraying a light-hearted persona. He cares about all Canadians and the people of the world as well. He's progressive, he's kind, and he's politically correct while also being approachable and casual to the onlooker. PEople see kindness and playfulness as weakness, but in reality he's as good as any other politician without the cold heart we've come to expect.

Trudeau and Obama were both very similar in many regards. They were both great leaders with heart and soul.

And some people don't like that.

Obama is far more intelligent and wise then Trudeau really though ^

I think his Trip to India really shows that he is not really a great leader but just a shameless self-promoter.

The issue is Trudeau pretends he is the voice of all sensible Canadian but 61% of people did not vote for him... the same as Harper.

What did he do in India?

I approve of him. He's good marketing for the right.

My mom and sister told me he's dashing and cute, relatively well spoken, and on the left so apparently that instantly makes him a good politician and leader (yes, this is sadly the extent of like 80% of my fellow Americans' political knowledge and all it takes most of us to vote for someone. Was the same for Obama).

Not just picking on just the left - on the right it tends to be more of a "he seems like a straight shooter.. the type I'd like to have a beer with!"

"We hold these truths to be self-evident - all men and women created by the, go-you know.. you know the thing!" - Joe Biden

When one or the most concern a president takes on deciding his ministers is diversity instead of foremost competence you can see his priorities are not on the best for everyone, but to push his agenda (if all the best available for the position were black female transgenders, they should occupy all the positions, instead of trying to put one for each group to please... choosing representation is the people that do when voting).

No. This cannot be. He was given the mangina of the year award for 2017 afterall .

Does mangina over there means the same as in Brazil? (A man who is very submissive to woman in general in hope of being liked)

He's a feminist so of course he is. He cares more about equality of outcome than merit and ability. Rather than pick the most competent people for the job his cabinet is 50% women just because they're women so he can pat himself on the back and virtue signal. That was a complete abberation of power, these are the people running the country you have to choose the best people but not for him because being an SJW was more important than the welbeing of his country.

But looking explicitly at the thread title, we already expected this of him, so he isn't disappointing, he is just very bad.

I voted no, but not in a positive way. He has been exactly as advertised. The thing that has always puzzled me is why people voted for someone who was clearly an idiot and openly said he had no plans to balance the budget, ever , while campaigning. We have a democracy, but vote for the son of a previous leader with no qualifications beyond that. Humans are baffling.

Tell that to the Americans xD

Trudeau is a joke and is lucky that his dumb actions are only masked by their neighbor's leader who is a bigger joke.

I don’t even know if I can agree with that.  Trump is a PR nightmare and his executive team seems to be in complete disarray, but some of his actual policy work might have some value.  Trudeau has been an absolute disaster in his job.

So much truth in this.

Yep. That's basic thought of it. A really big pussy or simp is also correct.
