I just hope they have huge efforts for AAA PSVR games. I want to see what a Naughty Dog, Sony Santa Monica, Guerilla Games, and Polyphony Digital can do with 100% efforts focused on VR development. TLOU, GOW, Killzone/Horizon, and GT will see incredible advancements once they move to VR. It truly is the largest step forward in the history of the industry.

I wonder what Manchester Studio is working on, they've been working on a VR game for almost 3 years now.

Same here, hopefully the wait won't be too much longer, and it is well worth the anticipation.

Time for Sony to make a big first party J-RPG for PS4. I'd love a Wild Arms or some new IP.

Yeah, this is something I have wanted from Japan Studios for a while. Done right, and wih a little luck, a J-RPG could be a massive hardware pusher, and a great IP to help ensure users at the launch of new platforms.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

Yeah, I'm thankful that Sony just doesn't shut down its studios, unlike Microsoft. Its a good thing that Evolution, BigBig, Sony Liverpool, Zipper, and Geurilla Cambridge still exist.

Oh wait....

Ooh, touched a nerve. Sony never cancelled any of it's massive IPs in the middle of development to shut down those studios. Scalebound and Fable were the reasons I even considered an XB1.

That doesnt give sony a free pass to close down studios. They are just as guilty of it as Microsoft are.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

Interesting, surprise me Sony.

Nintendo Switch FC: SW-6340-7643-4233 aka Renji

Steam: Lee Roid

Hopefully this means they’re going to explore some more MP-heavy titles again. The story-based SP ones are top notch, but I miss games like Resistance, MAG, and Starhawk, when Sony was Sony was putting out stellar multiplayer titles on top of stellar stories.

It most certainly does ... (anything is valid as long as you keep delivering good games like Sony or EA does)

If you don't deliver the results you end up with duds like Evolution (Driveclub), Bigbig (Little Deviant), Zipper interactive (SOCOM 4/Unit 13) and Guerilla Cambridge (they haven't done much of anything) ... (this applies to Nintendo as well for a company of their size since they internally cease teams from time to time and if Retro Studios isn't going to do anything then they should be cut as well)

Nothing lasts forever including a studios performance and a developer is only as good as their last game ... (the relationship between studio/publisher should be symbiotic and not that of a parasitic one like we see between Rare and Microsoft)

@OP Sounds encouraging to say the least so hopefully they release their plans for next year because their output is almost starting to match that of a big third party publisher which says a lot ... (I don't remember their first party efforts being as strong as it was when they first participated)

I might PM you to continue the conversation, since the thread is getting a bit derailed here.

Go ahead, you have my permission since this is getting off-topic as well ...

I'd love it if they bought a AA J-RPG studio, even though a lot of them are already playstation exclusive, to strengthen their relationship and maybe help them on a technical level.
Wich would make Gust a good choice.

Does it start with an X?

Nope. It starts with a P and ends in a Pro. I don't know why i'd want to keep a box, though.

you always keep the box! never know when you have to move out of town or something.
