My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

I am beginning to think 2017 Nintendo was the anomaly. I don't think this will be a hit.

Project Giant Robot is ALIVE!

It would be funny if this whole thing came about because Miaymoto demanded that Project Giant Robot actually be made.

Basically toy like constructions augmented through Joycons

I'm gonna call them toy-cons for short

Did people actually see the pricetag they are asking? Am I the only one who thinks that this is downright embarrassing? Oh well, time to wait for the MP4 direct.

Doesn’t seem like you’d be interested if it was cheaper though.

My oldest child (5yrs) would probably enjoy this but her younger siblings (3 & 1) would likely destroy them before too long......maybe in a few years if its still going.

Yes. Exactly this. They now will go on in old nintendo Manier. God i hate that. Please be NORMAL Nintendo. Normal!!! Take that time you invested in that stupid cardboxes and make a great Normal game for normal people and normal ways to play.

I can see this being a popular Christmas gift. But the problem is, parents would need to buy the kit and a Switch. That's about €400.

I think it's a pretty neat concept for kids. I love DIY toys when I was a kid, and this cardboard + tech combination is intriguing. But the prices are really prohibitive. If they manage to sell it at that price, I'd pretty surprised.

My guess would be that they are testing a price point here. See if it sells. If not, then drop the price during the holidays. If so, then more profits for Ninty.

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

I think I actually prefer the Wii Fishing, Wii Tennis, Wii Wheel, etc. plastic add-ons from an aesthetic, durability, comfort, etc. standpoint compared to Nintendo Switch Labo.

This seems like a step back in as far as the actual quality standpoint.

Not to mention, impatient people that just want to play the game right away will be less interested than they were for the Wii stuff.

This will appeal to the Lego crowd that likes building things and then playing a video game with them, but not sure how much more appealing this is than the actual build and play Lego portal games were... which also seem higher quality than Labo...
