They didn't copy UC. Problem was some people seemingly expected something along those lines.

Nowhere on that text it says anything similar to copy or emulate as you yourself said.

They were inspired by the idea and feelings of UC, the cinematic idea and just that. So you post about copying ND style is unfounded.

@both, Again I didn't say they copied UC but the style. Your @bold is exactly what I am talking about, and it's a 3rd person shooter.

This will be my last post on the topic.

Nope you are twisting the word... they didn't copy the style at all. They wanted to make people fell emotions through the game... unless you think R&B and Reggae is the copying each other style just because a singer from one genre said they were inspired on someone from the other style from it making the listeners fell good with the music.

Wanting to pass similar emotions have nothing to do with copying the style. You are reaching.

I don't care how underrated it might be, to be frank. As fun as the game was when I played it (decently fun), the game's existence and quiet delay apparently led to InFamous: Second Son being bumped up a full year so that there was another launch window game. Second Son suffered so much as a result that the series seems to be dormant for the foreseeable future. And what we got in return for an undercooked InFamous game was...another undercooked game. Yay

Trash games that get panned on meta = underrated
Amazing games that get praised on meta = overrated

Just go play Half-Life 2.
12 hours of bliss.

12 hours?! Did you play on easy?!

An estimate.

I am currently replaying it, and the game isn't hard.
Regardless of the difficulty setting.

Second Son was a great game, a lot better than the previous 2.

Not even close to the quality of either. Weaker story; weaker characters; dialogue that was predominantly ad-libbed because the script wasn't done by the time the VAs began recording; gameplay that cuts out significant abilities; gameplay that forces you to collect the shards as a means to progress narratively,  to pad the game out to a decent length, rather than making them an optional, encouraged collectible that will help you unlock new abilities; very few abilities, and the ones we have are repeated three or four times among nearly identical powers. I can keep going too! The game's best feature is its visuals, which are gorgeous (miles above the  usually sub-30 framerate of 2), but if you play the game for more than one playthrough it absolutely falls apart, and it wasn't even super well held together before that. Even if you disagree, nobody can deny that a full year to, y'know, finish the script, finish the game, etc., would only have done it good, instead of rushing one game by a first-party studio out to cover for another game made by a third party, for which the writing was seemingly already on the wall.

I fucking loved Infamous 1, everything about it. I thought 2 was worse in every way. Never tried SS.

I have platinated it in 2 accounts, so I have finished the game about 6 to 8 times.

You may like SS and considering you can find it for cheap it may be woth a try.

That's good for you, glad you like it so much, but you skimmed over most of what I said to latch onto one specific tidbit. I've beaten it I believe 4 times now, and obviously gotten the Plat too, and even First Light absolutely blows it out of the water go me despite being a third of a game. The one time I went back to give it another shot, thinking maybe I was just being harsh, it just irritated me that much more to see how far the series had fallen in one game, all because The Order was running behind schedule.
