yes, check it out. used for 15 bucks. buy it, play it, sell it.

Not sure if I'd say its THE most underrated, but I can definitely say it's probably high up there and completely understand how you feel because I absolutely enjoyed this game, loved the story, loved the characters, loved the graphics (the graphics still look better than most newer games).

Only common flaw is that it was a bit too linear, but it was a fairly new game since the release of the PS4 so i'd say devs were still testing the waters. Personally I didn't mind it as the story and combat was very engaging.

People complained that it was too short but it took me more than 8hrs to finish it, and took you 10hrs. I guess others just decided to speed run the game hitting at 4-6hrs. (But then again people like to do that with other games ie. FFXV saying its 20hrs long yet took me +50hrs long) It all depends on the player and how they player.

I wish there was a sequel in the works. I'm sure if the game had a second chance they'd definitely improve on the 'linear' and 'length of time' aspect of the game and I'm sure it'll turn out amazing.

Also, you can find this game on PSN for like $5 on sale so nobody should ever be complaining about this anymore lol

The game isn't 10 hours, also lots of cutscenes and walking around listening to dialogue.

The story is pretty good, the graphics are great, and the gunplay is above average. Its just the pacing overall makes it a mediocre game and the combat feels very scripted. I think its worth checking out for like $10 though.

I remember seeing the marketing and thought Sony had an answer to Gears of War. It looks like a game with lot of action but the final product was a very story driven experience. If my memory is right, there are relatively few enemy encounters for the genre. Basically, I don't feel the marketing was honest about what type of game it was.

Quantum Break > Ryse > The Order

Edit: I found an old post I had about this game and this is partly why its rated the way it is. "I just finished this game. And... I like the story but the gameplay is underwhelming. Slow, linear, repetitive combat, no replay value, too many QTEs, cliff hanger ending, much more focus on story than gameplay. If you could skip cutscenes this game would probably just be a few hours. This is the kind of game many core gamers don't want but they made it anyway.

Did they not see the criticism Ryse received? Ryse is an arguably better game by the way. Its a shame because it seems like there was so much potential here. In fact, I would like to see a sequel to this. They need to overhaul the gameplay to something that feels more like Gears. More freedom, more dynamic combat, more gameplay, maybe good multiplayer and split screen co-op. It has many great ideas and this could become a great series, but they fucked up its first outing."

Yeah, while I wouldn’t call it underrated — I think it was rated fairly — I do wish a sequel was in the works. There was a good foundation there — interesting weapons, solid shooting mechanics, and a compelling mythology. RAD just needed to drop its cinematic pretensions.

I played this game at launch, I tought it was terrible, there wasn't enough variation a lot of reused werewolves and some things felt like they where just in the game to make it longer, even tough it was very short.

Things like this (feeling repetative and stuff) is extra bad since its a short game.

The game had for the time, amazing graphics, amazing setting and a decent story but in my opinion it wasn't enough to justify the purchase, I sold the game 6-7 hours after buying and finishing it and never ever recommended that to anyone, its a decent free game for PS+ or a 10 euro experience but even for free or cheap I wouldn't really like it.

And in all honesty, the recent surge of great PS4 games, like Horizon, Nier, Person etcetc only make this game less of a recommendation not to mention the BEST PART of the game where the graphics and games that have that as their best point dont generally age well either

It's not "the most underrated" as much as it's judged fairly harshly. It's a decent game, but honestly it's fun. You can complain about the length or linearity as much as you want, but it remains a fun game. It has its bad moments, but it also has its good ones. It's a fun game that looks phenomenal, with awesome music, interesting setting, cool and interesting characters, as well as an interesting story and fun gameplay. For 60 it's expensive, but you can get it for pretty cheap now and for cheap I'd honestly recommend it.

But But i remember some vgchartz dude that spended 10 hours watching someone playing it on youtube when this released said it sucked ?!?!?!?!!??!?! Impossible , i need to check this out.

That is obviously invalid now because someone in a forum wrote a 2 liner.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I really liked the game, but it would be hard to justify the 60 pricetag.
