Dragon ball sells pretty good on Xbox but monster hunter is unknown. I don’t see it selling very many units on X1. It’s always been a PS/ Nintendo franchise. 

Edit: Amazon is not a good indicator of software sales at all! Don’t read too much into software ranking on amazon.

All points that Switch is selling much better compared to November when it sold around 800k, so I think Switch sold better than 1.1m, my guess is around 1.5m.

last month i got # 1 on resetera, this month, seems too hard to predict.

NSW] 1350K
[PS4] 1250K
[XB1] 1100K

Yeah you've said you were no 1 a couple of times.. but if you have to keep changing your numbers based on what information comes in, you were just lucky last month like the rest of us. Pick your numbers and stick to them, thats what it should be, not change them when more info comes in, wheres the fun in that. :D

Assuming that Benji works for GameStop, him, Abdiel, and Amazon make up over half of the US video game market. That is a big enough sample size. More than big enough, actually.

Yeah i think thats enough anecdotal evidence to suggest Switch won, Sony probably 2nd and MS third. But will be interesting if thats not how it ends up.

Ah, OK, so you were just saying generally that January would give us an idea of the baseline going forward. I thought you were assessing January by the performance so far. I STILL wouldn't consider one month to give us a baseline but I can see where you are coming from now.

Yeah, the PS4 will unsurprisingly carry the weight.  I guess covering as many bases as possible was important for Capcom though.  

I think the PC version will be the next best selling. Whenever it's released.

Amazon is not a good indicator for actual numbers. Neither hardware or software. What it is good at is showing what's in demand and being bought at the moment. We know Japanese games aren't too popular on Xbox consoles, so MHW and DBZ charting low compared to PS4 is the expected sales for those types of games on Xbox 1. Unfortunately.

Is Switch selling at Best Buy something so special?

I don't like when insiders comment on anothers info. Saying things like

"i bet Abdiel shows PS4 winning"

"BB skews towards PS4"

"Not saying Abdiel isn't reliable but BB has enthusiast customers who buys PS4"  

That last one is really.........What? 

Insiders should never ever make assumptions about someone elses info. I already knew after he posted that Abdiel was going to quote him and say his data matches and Switch did well.
