Definitely try this when it hits PS4.

Fake news.

We know MS tried to pay them to keep it off PS4 but they wisely refused. They did pay them for a certain timed exclusivity though.

Game will also come to PS4 in 2018.

Calls out fake news and then spews a bunch of his own.  You don't 'know' any of that lmao...

lol yeah that was pretty funny. Ask him about MS and Digital Foundry.

Like how this thread was suppose yo be about PUBG on XBO but is now a debate on if it's console exclusive or not. Yeah the game is console exclusive when it comes out. Its possible it could come to PS4 but a PS4 port hasn't been officially confirmed so until it arrives on another console it's an Xbox console exclusive.
OP: so excited to play this game next week!

Do you really not see why? Just look at the thread title. The OP knew what he was doing with that title. If he was interested in just garnering or expressing excitement about PUBG, the thread title would’ve read “PUBG releases next week for XBO, new trailer released. Get hyped”. Or something along those lines. He instead focused the title on PUBG being a console exclusive for XBO. Which, as it stands currently, it is not, especially since Bluehole has publicly stated it’s in talks with Sony about bringing it to PS4. The only exclusive is the preview state. Though MS is working very hard to make everyone believe otherwise. Regardless, this is a huge deal landed by MS. Just not sure why they feel they need to be so misleading about their deals.

The OP could gave picked a better tittle, but the tittle about it coming to console and it being on Xbox One was in the launch trailer itself.

The game is a console exclusive until it comes to another console. They might bring it to PS4 but its not official yet. So its a console exclusive until it comes to another console.

An exclusive beta/unfinished game that will quite likely be available on the PS4 when it's actually done....I'm not surprised this is how MS framed PUBG'S arrival. It certainly meets my expectations of what their marketing, both in terms of professional advertisements, and social media corporate hoo-blah, can distilled down to.

Eh, whatever. I've seen worse. This one didn't even bother me much.

I'm just curious to see what kind of a reviews this game gets. Will it be a critical darling? Is it an amazing game? Or is it merely a popular, yet terrible game like Ark?

I'd just play it for myself, but I don't give developers money for a beta.

If you have an XBO you can try an hour of the game before you decide to buy it.

From my experience with the PC version its an addictive game that has great gunplay.

Go ahead and say what you want but this was a good business decision by MS.

I don't think people are arguing that.

People just get upset when MS throws money at deals, depriving them of notable content they're entitled too.

I said it before and I'll say it, be glad its just timed. The worst deals for consumers keep games exclusive.

All the major console developers do that crap. Even the amazing Nintendo *cough Bayonetta cough*.

Platinum Games have been very Democratic when it comes to assigning exclusives to each brand.

Nintendo has Bayonetta.

Sony has Nier Automata.

Xbox had Scalebound.

It's one thing to create a new IP and make it exclusive,  it's another to  have a game that was multiplat and then make it exclusive. I'm not giving crap to Nintendo because in the end it was a good decision to buy the game out. I'm just saying, the big 3 ALL do it or have done it.
