retail only GTS barely scraped the 1M mark, but with likely 30% digital sales (it topped the charts for PS4) it opened at 1.3M.

This is a lot lower than previous GT but have managed to increase the million seller list of PS4.

I would assume "Sport" means just that in which it typically implies a "lite" version.

The game sucks but the brand name is still there.

That 30% is doubtful, retail pricing dropped fast and was unbelievably low in Europe.  Digital was nowhere near as good a deal.  

What did the other Gts debut at ? i only know GT5 managed crazy sales.

Remember this is week one sales.

So only 14 out of every 1000 PS4 owners bought it the first week (1 million copies sold divided by 68 million PS4 owners = 1.4%)? That seems terrible for the best selling PlayStation franchise of all time. Hopefully they get it together for GT7.

Ohh yahh.  Still doubt it, it got weak reviews everywhere.

Not a game you want to risk buying digital.  

Personally i got a used copy 4 days after launch.

Haven't you heard?! Next weeks update will feature a full traditional GT mode career called GT League, including Sunday Cups etc. Plus 12 new cars and 50 more until march, including new tracks. For free.

This game IS GT7 and will only get better over time.

I'm pretty sure it's better than GT6, and that was at a bigger install base. I'd say it's pretty remarkable after some of those reviewers tried to write it down for stupid reasons.

Ps4 dominates worldwide, so this isn't really a surprise.

Outside of NA, GT hasnt fallen off like many predicted (including me). Good to know.

It needs more clean drivers online! 1M is not enough.
