Forums - Nintendo Discussion - What's the reaction to the lack of Switch Black Friday sales

Nothing, it hasn't even been out for a year. 3DS may of got a price cut early in it's life but that was only to help sales, which Switch has no problem with at it's current price.

Why would they when ots already selling out? And in japan they STILL have problems despite them probably shifting more of the increased production to japan rather than europe.

No surprise they're not doing any hardware / bundle deals for BF. This is after all the Switch's first holiday season, and it's selling like hot cakes so no crazy deals like you see with PS4 and XB1 where hardware is aplenty for both.

Still it's a bit disappointing that Nintendo doesn't at least do software discounts. All of their games including launch titles or titles available soon after launch like Zelda and MK8D are still $59.99 MSRP. There's some individual deals at stores going on, like Walmart having the new Zelda Explorer's Edition on sale for $49, and Mario+Rabbids for $29.

I think Nintendo should've taken a minimum of $10 off for its older Switch releases for BF week. It's crazy when you see all their games still at full price when many PS4 / X1 titles get deep price cuts within weeks of release during the holidays.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

I want software not Hardware deals. Is the Xbox one X getting any deals?

The real question is: Will there be an eshop sale?

Demand >>> Supply => No Price Cuts.

So yeah, it doesn't matter.

The only reason to discount it would be if Nintendo hates money.

Like I said in the article news. It seems the logical move seeing as they have being having trouble keeping up with the demand.

Now, with that being said, I dont remember seeing many deals for the Wii U either, even when it was selling at is worst.  So yeah, I dont think they would have had many deals regardless.

I don't care, black friday isn't really a thing here anyways.

Sneaky Nintendo, limiting the supplies just so we feel special when they have any Switches in stock. Their black Friday deal is "you get to buy Switches today!"
