Forbes Japan have ranked Nintendo the fourth most trusted company in the world behind Siemens, Michelin Group and Alphabet (and ahead of Walt Disney, Carlsberg and Apple!

Trusted in what sense?
Cause there are different interpretations of that word.
I assume not in the main sense since it says that Alphabet is even more trusted when we all know Alphabet is the parent company of Google and Google is an evil corporation. So of all meanings of the word "trusted" that I know of, none seems to fit the description. So I'm at a loss here.

Most likely trusted in quality. 

Well, considering that I just told someone yesterday, that I absolutely think samsung, apple and microsoft are tracking, using and selling my movement and user data, to all kind of people, but did not think that Nintendo actually used the Street Pass system for anything more sinister or sold data it could no doubt collect with it......I guess they have their image right...?

Granted, it's less my faith in them being this beacon of decent behaviour and more that I think they'd never do anything that would endanger their reputation as a child friendly company like this, combined with the fact that they have a strong japanense mindset, that seems to run counter, using user sata to bolster your income.

I always trust Nintendo to do something stupid like banning their youtube partners from streaming. Can't be long until the next stupid thing they do That I can trust.

Who's above them? BP, Time Warner and Monsanto?

Trusted to kill their services early? Trusted to make a massively improved version of each of their successful products (bar NES toploader, Wii Mini)?
