I say 9. People who wanted Smash or Animal Crossing, Virtual Console, Pokemon Switch...they're insane. That's so stupid from a business perspective. I think they showed what they needed to show. Mario Odyssey looks simply stunning and a new step forward in the 3D Platformer genre, Octopath looks great, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 looks amazing, 3ds still isn't dead, the Arcade Classics was unexpected but I called it a while ago when Namco Museum was released, it just makes too much sense. Kirby looks great, and this is just for the rest of 2017 to around mid 2018. This is more than enough to show to sell through their Switch stock for the rest of they year.

Nintendo just can't come out showing every popular franchise they have in one year. I mean come on. We already got Mario and Zelda in the same year along with a full JRPG. What else did you want!?

...um did I just I have really low expectations compared to everyone else or something...?

9/10

Some people expecting brand new really big flagship 1st party Nintendo title announcements in a early autumn direct... why?

7/10

It was what I expected for the most part, more details and information on the stuff we already knew. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was the highlight of the Direct and I'll be like a shark smelling blood looking for that special edition and pro controller.
Super Mario Odyssey looks incredible, but it already did to begin with so... yeah.
I'm just a tad disappointed that we didn't get at least 1 new first party Switch game that we didn't know about announced here. I understand why they focused on stuff they already announced, because between 1st party and 3rd party games, the Switch's lineup is looking stacked for the next number of months, but still, I'd like to have heard about something, or even an update on Fire Emblem Switch or Yoshi.
But overall, it was decent.

7/10, they spent way too much time talking about the combat system in XC2 and project octopath, no one is gonna remember all of that by the time the games come out

Mario looks incredible and the bundle is so cool, Kirby is gonna be a great game to start the next year, Lyn in warriors which adds a much needed variety to the roster, and the 3rd party games were a pleasant surprise.

5/10 Watched it only for the 3DS stuff, so the localization announcement of The Alliance Alive was the best thing I got from this direct. I'm not really feeling that Kirby Battle Royal game and Pokemon Ultra Sun/Moon doesn't seem to have enough extra stuff to warrant a purchase. Other than that, the rest consisted of games that were already shown before or games that I didn't care about, like Minecraft and that mix of Mario Party games.

I guess I put the bar too high by expecting localization announcements for Dragon Quest XI 3DS and The Snack World.

Caring about the 3ds in 2017 xD (jk)

And you'll be able to say that to me again at least until the first half of 2018, love the system, I even must confess that I might have docked a point from the Direct 'cause Japan is getting a Pikachu themed 2DS that was missing in ours.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

I think the 3ds support is pretty good tbh, even if it's mostly remasters/remakes. I looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooved thew new Fire Emblem and i'm excited for the Superstar remaster and Metroid 2 remake. I was just having a bit of fun about the 3ds thing xD
