But hey it was just a "joke" no different then the retards in germany who make remarks about killing jews. Either way this is a horrbile thing for anyone to say even jokingly . If you guys can joke about killing a specific group of people, i dont wanna know what you guys do for fun....

Yes but why are they more poor? They cant choose to go to school instead of sell drugs or join gangs? Hell, if you are poor the goverment pays for your education. Most are already getting goverment assistance and food stamps, free college should be a given. The problem is that they choose to do what makes them the most money the quickest, they dont want a job at McDonalds because that requires work. Its a matter of choice, not opportunity.

Ah yes, people are poor because they want to be poor.

Thats not what I said and you know it. My point was they have a choice to work or not to work. It doesnt mean they wont still be poor.

He is telling her how it is Trump style I guess.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

That's too many to begin with. US cops are trained like crap, too many of them don't know what the fuck they are doing. A dude selling cigarettes or video games or whatever the fuck should not end up dead 30 minutes later when he had no weapon. That is not a violent situation to even begin with.

"He looked like he was reaching" is pretty much the go to excuse now to just slaughter a person in their vehicle. If I was black I'd be nervous as fuck to reach for anything in my car because how do you know the officer isn't going to suddenly think you're reaching for who knows what and make a "mistake".

Those people paid with their lives for those "mistakes", meanwhile most of those cops go scott free, because they can just say "well I thought he/she was reaching for XYZ".

I think it's fair that people say this isn't good enough. This isn't the level of policing people should expect. Things like routine traffic stops, a dude selling anything on a street corner unarmed shouldn't end up with someone going to a morgue.

Oh goody...you have resorted to blanket statements now. No one is saying these people should have ended up dead yet you keep bringing it up as if to relegate reality under the bias of people's feelings.

You are associating the proportionately rare accounts of tragic events by police officers and acting like these events are likely to happen whenever police get involved. If this is the expectations of Americans I guess American's need to somehow become more aware of statistical facts as opposed to allowing fear driven feelings be their emotional provocateur.

This isn't the level of policing people should expect? Let me tell you a little thing about expectations. It takes an imagination to envision monsters under the bed. It takes a child's mind to 'expect' the monsters to actually be there. If people are expecting cops to just shoot them then maybe they should grow up.

So, if they still can be poor through working, doesn't that mean then that it's not really a choice?

Here's the thing. I'm black and a former police officer from '03-'10.

For an honest person, being stopped by the police can be a really stressful and traumatic experience. They automatically assume there's something wrong, even if they have no idea what it is. Regular people aren't trained to react in this situation. You can say what people are "supposed to do" but they are always going to be normal people. It's the duty of the trained officer to recognize this and react appropriately.

I give this officer a pass in this instance. He's trying to comfort the lady by saying some really racist bs. Just know that the next time a Philando Castile is nervous around the police, it's because he's nervous. Not guilty.

Case by case.

I guess people don't understand what sarcasm is.

No, they have the choice not to sell drugs, join a gang, shoot people, commit crimes etc. Most people dont start out with good jobs, it takes time to advance. Putting in the work will generally net you at least a middle class life depending on your other choices.
