I really wonder as to why anyone would be frustrated and overreact in such a way. It's a game system. It's a luxury. Unless you have absolutely nothing else going on in your life, you can wait.

What's your favorite thing in the world. Now say the same thing about that.

If I stop cooking, I will starve.

The key is always to have many things  to do so you don't reach the stage where getting a game system is a key priority in your life.

I call this BS

Ha, sure this is annoying a few people, but if someone was going through all that trouble to get one, they will get one eventually.

Just look at the September release games topic. Then you have other games like Mario Odyssey or the sequel to Xenoblade Chronicles, which was high on the list of best games of all time that famitsu just released.

The people saying they aren't going to get one, will. They just might wait 6 months until its more common. I don't see the Switch losing its hype anytime soon, so unlike the Wii U they will still be enticed to getting one.

Yikes! Nintendo is doomed.

I don't get it. I've been in two countries in Europe recently and they had switch available like in supermarket. Is it specific to Japan?

Japan, US, Canada still seem starved for stock. Parts of Europe and Australia, it seems like it's much easier to find a Switch.

I don't really think that's true on a national scale.

I was actually wondering if Japan had lost interest while looking at Amazon Japan the last couple of days.

Since while the Switch was losing more and more spots, the prices didn't rise as they did before when the Switch was dropping (due to scalpers and high demand), but the price was dropping at the same time as the Switches' ranking, implying a strong decrease in interest.

Now the question is if it's just temporary or if Nintendo lost these (or at least some of these) as customers for the Switch.

Also, where are the "artifical shortages to drive demand" guys now? I've been saying several times that this doesn't work when you haven't at least a quasi-monopoly, as only then there wouldn't be a choice but to suck it up and come back later. I bought my Gamecube back then purely because I couldn't find a PS2 at the time - and never bought a PS2 (I got one as a gift... in 2011 and second-hand)

With Nintendo offering the select the color joycons program in Japan, we'll see how true this is.

That is understandable. It would get tiresome after awhile of not being able to get one, to the point where you just stop searching for it, and that's okay I think. There will be stock at some point in time, so people will be able to buy one in time, with a larger library of games to boot.

What I take away from this thread is that Japanese gamers are a bunch of tsunderes.

...Seems about right to me.

I-it's not as if I want your Switch, b-baka!

But, but, ... Nintendo artificially creates this shortages to INCREASE demand!

OFC, because shipping what you have in stock is so mainstream, let's just hold these units so we can sell later.... Because why not? We don't need money and userbase increase for software purchases, let's just tease these morons!

what the hell is your problem dude? the topic is about people losing interest due to shortages and I commented that Nintendo did a poor job with allocating the hardware.

if you disagree with my opinion that's perfectly fine, but if you're trying to be an ass just because you don't like what I said, then you can f* right off

ps: i'm not your "pal"

The problem is that you just can't say that Nintendo is overshipping in Europe, just because you see Switchs in some store near you. Your anecdoctal evidence can't determine anything in a continental scale.

And yes, your review about the switch is pointless.

Stealth bait posts like yours is now a norm in this site and always derail threads about the Switch. It feels like you're all bothered about its success.

Mnementh, I know you are parodying. Don't worry ;).

Lol... i suspect you're doing some projection here about feelings.

So unless i'm sucking some company's dick, it must mean somehow i'm bothered by it? That's a good one.

I gave my honest opinion about their distribution, which for as anecdotal as it might seem to you, it's a bit more widespread when not only I can find plenty of units available in local shops, but also ordering online from other retailers.

Now when I see whining about people not being able to buy it for several months, then it must mean they are undershipping in some places and overshipping in other places.

And honestly, I think I must of mentioned having one since lauch just to prevent your kind of reactions that somehow I have something against the toy itself.

So yeah... your review of my post is itself, ironically, pointless
