The Switch turns 6 months old today!

And what a 6 months it was!

Switch seems to have a pretty consistent lineup this year, such a change from the first 6 months of the 3DS & Wii U.

Tell me about it. 3DS had Pilotwings, Nintendogs, and Ocarina of Time 3D. And Wii U had NSMBU and Lego City.

3DS had the better 6 months by default due to OOT.

Anyone else playing Mario X Rabbids? I'm having a lot of fun with it. It feels like I'm not accomplishing much though since it's not a platformer. The humor is great. Rabbid Princess is my favorite character. :)

I'm playing it, having a lot of fun.  And yeah, it has some charming humor

I just got past level 1, which was great. Now i'm doing the challenges, which are much harder but great fun. It was sad to see mario get hit several times with a big rock, but the team pulled through. He's always a teamplayer.

Hello,

I kinda wondered what was the Switch stock situation in the West right now.

I intend to buy one this month so I ask my retailer (independant shop in Paris, France), and they told me they didn't have problems to provide the system to their clients anymore. I was told I could come back in a few days and pick one. They expect supply to be tense around Mario Odyssey release though.

What's the situation in your countries/regions?

So where is Pikmin 4?......

Hopefully it along with Animal Crossing and Retro's game will show up next year.

In the U.S. it's still the same, gotta put in some effort to get one, can't just walk into a store anytime and find them readily available on shelves.

In the US, it has improved but still scarce.  Though keep in mind, the US is a huge country with many different sub-economies and markets.  So in some areas, you may be able to find them easier than others.  Right now Nintendo seems to have prioritized Game Stop, Walmart, and Target over Amazon, likely due to the fact that Amazon is overrun by scalpers using bots.  Still scalpers hitting the other locations, but it's not quite as bad.  And yes, Nintendo cares about scalpers since obviously scalpers don't buy software, they just slow the growth of the consumer base that will and cause PR damage.

I would say things have gotten overall better in general.  It's still a moderate challenge in the region of the US I am in, but not as bad as it once was.

Shin'en say their next game will be "different to anything we have done before" and has been in the works since before FAST RMX.

As far as I know, the supply drought has ended for the most part here in Spain. At least in the bigger stores and the dedicated ones.

You know it deserves the GOTY.
