Found on Famitsu Sales: 4/12/21 – 4/18/21 [Update] - Gematsu

Oh! I think you posted the same numbers as last weeks'. Was that on purpose? cauz we already had a thread (and discussed about it for a whole long week XD)

https://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread/244608/famitsu-sales-week-16-2021-apr-12-apr-18/1/

I occasionally post the Japan sales in here just to keep things up to date. The last one I posted was from the 11th so I figured I'd post the most recent one xD

Hopefully we get a new update tomorrow, as Gematsu seems to release them on a weekly basis on Thursdays.

If anyone was interested in how Pokemon Snap might have looked on the Game Boy Color, look no further:

Pokemon Snap is out! Anyone playing? Only did the tutorial area so far, can't wait to play more after work.

Around the Network

I just wanna take a moment to note that April 30th was amazing in this house. I picked up both Returnal and New Pokemon Snap, and while both are remarkably different from one another they represent equally important facets of what makes gaming so fun. Returnal is a new IP, a shooty bang bang game with deeper story elements than I was expecting, a high end top notch high fidelity max-power game. Pokemon Snap is a sequel to an old cult favourite, a relaxing, combat-free photography game with simple, stylish graphics. both are immensely fun, both are exclusives, both came out on the same day.

April 30th was a great day to be a gamer, and I am so glad that I'm alive to experience it.

So, Pokemon Snap is number 1. Since Monster hunter rise is sold out in many places , My guess is Pokemon Snap had an amazing launch . And it deserved it. Pokemon Snap is amazing series . I wonder how massive the sales were for Pokemon Snap launch vs Monster Hunter right now.

There's probably not that much correlation to be honest. There's been a month between games, most people who can't afford both games at once probably either bought Rise already or are consistently on a budget and by most of their games after launch anyways.

Speaking of Snap, I'm really excited to get it sometime, but I don't know when I'll get it, mostly because I have so many games to play. Looks very fun and relaxing
