Has been a while, but I've only gotten Xenoblade 2 and a couple of indie games since then

I would have Smash by now but there have been some hiccups with the postal service, so I should probably get it in about a week

Finally, the video I was waiting for! 

Obviously Ultimate looks better in pretty much every conceivable way over the Wii U and 3DS versions, by a large margin in-fact, but there's a few interesting nitpicks here: 

-Smash Ultimate apparently has the worst input lag of any of the Smash Brothers games 

-Smash Ultimate's Donkey Kong model may be slightly less demanding given the fact that it is no longer trying to replicate real fur, most likely an artistic choice

Also I seem to remember seeing a video explaining that Gaur Plains was missing some shadows from the Wii U version. 

Either way, it looks like the improvements in the most important areas were made!

I'm actually in the middle of a replay of that on Vita.  I just could never get into the chibi 3D models of the DS remakes.

The thing i love about those older games isn't the battle systems.  It's how rapidly the stories move.  Six hours in, and I'm approaching Castle Eblan. Meanwhile, modern JRPGs would have me spend 40 hours to get to this point.    That is why FFXV Pocket Edition worked so well.  All story, little fluff.  If only the story was coherent...
