According to sources at WWG, Rockstar Games is planning on a L.A Noire remaster for PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Reports on a remaster of the 2011 crime thriller date back to January, with one in particular claiming the L.A. Noire remaster would ship in late summer. Furthermore, it has also been suggested that the game will also support PlayStation VR, and include a first-person view similar to the PS4 and Xbox One editions of Grand Theft Auto 5.

I always felt like replaying this game some time, yet never got to it. Driving around 1940 LA was very enjoyable. I played most of the game in black & white to keep in style. Replaying it in color would already be different but I hope the rumor is true and I get to drive around it in VR!

Perhaps remasters for VR are the best way to get people interested? I would love some new full AAA games ofcourse, yet with an install base of a million that's not really feasible. A psvr mode like in RE7 is great, but probably only do-able if the base game already targets 60fps. Remasters from last gen should have a lot less trouble reaching 60fps for VR. Red dead redemption in VR, yes please. Although 1st person horseback riding im VR might be a bit sickening :)

seems like a strange one, but it could be pretty fun in VR.

and I didn't know there was a black and white option, that sounds cool

PSVR would be amazing. I hope this is true. It is extreamly important that every dev and publisher get some expereince with VR right now, so that they can have the rough edges ironed out for PS5 & PSVR2.

Thid would be a great building block towards GTA6 being a VR exclusive.

It wasnt a great game in my opinion. Very narative driven, felt clunky, and face reading was boring.

I might revisit for a remaster if it does significant improvments.

That would be hilarious if that is coming, as a YT channel I follow is doing an LP of the original right now. A PSVR mode would be killer. Last gen remasters seem like a good fit for VR, when you look at it from the 60 fps angle.

GTA 6 will never be a VR exclusive. It's supposed to sell 1 billion copies after all. It might however have VR exclusive content.
GTA San andreas or Vice city in VR would be a nice practice run :) Not sure if I want to play 4 again and 5 is still too fresh.

Nintendo switch? Yeah,ok...fake news!

I know, I just wish someone would take a risk and making something incredible. There is a chance they could reach even greater sales with a VR only game.

I see GTA as a standard setting IP, one that ushers in new technology, and advances the industry. Moving to VR only would be the most Rockstar/Grand Theft Auto move they could make.

In my opinion a large 4K GTA would be a disservice to the brand, but that is just me.

I always wanted to play it on the PS3 but never got around to it. Maybe this time around I'll give it a crack :P

Already played it back on 360, while I enjoyed the game; I wouldn't buy it again.
