Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Microsoft’s Xbox One X console commands the most social buzz at E3

Congrats to MS but I'm just going to say this:

"Please don't take the bait, Playstation fans!"

Or well anyone who is actually paying attention. Anyone who could sift through Microsofts offerings knows 90% of what they showed will be multiplatform in due time. Even dead rising is coming to PlayStation. They are disrupting he front end sales of these games to save their credibility and sooner or late the chickens will come home to roost.

Bait takeeeen!

"It looks to be an amazing console that will finally give console gamers a PC like experience."

How about just buying a gaming PC then? So many xbox games are available on PC. Also, was it all positive buzz? I ask cause Sony's biggest trend was VR which not everybody was impressed by (which I don't blame them) so it is weird that it got the most mentions for Sony.

I personally find it hard to believe people are more excited for Sea of Thieves than Spider-man. And lastly, can you knock it off with the smiley faces at the end of every sentence? It's not cute, you're not being clever.

Find me one for $499 that does 4K / 60 FPS and I will.

That's awesome that it got good YouTube views. It was the first gameplay trailer for Spiderman.

People are not talking about it. That is what this article is saying.

This is not about YouTube views. Did they even finish watching?

I saw the trailer too.

But how do you know if the talk is positive or negative? If you watch a youtube trailer you are at least interested in what you are viewing.

What if 50% of social media is saying how its too expensive or its rubbish. No one knows.. its a poor statistic method without anything to give it more detail.

I should save this as an easy example for future arguments where people attempt to use social statistics to argue in favor of sales.

Sea Of Thieves is one of the most anticpated games period. It beat every Playstation game and it was not even close. Even beat Destiny 2.

I thought Rare was dead?

What it means is that we have a statistic that is the result of different factors.  Narrow interpretations of such a statistic are known to be misleading.  On top of that, we throw in the increasing unreliability of social media as a metric, with companies employing influencers and marketing companies that use social media tactics like stealth advertising accounts and bots.

The only truely sensible metric is how many views youtube videos have got and that isnt perfect by any means, but its better than A, B or C mentioned on the internet, when we dont know if A, B or C is positive. Didnt we have a similar thread when the XBO came out.... and look how that did.

Yeah, most people were talking about how it's too expensive, that isn't a good thing.
