After coming to 3DS earlier in the year, Monster Hunter XX will now be gracing Switch in Japan. Capcom confirmed a late August release on Nintendo’s new console in Japan earlier today. To see how the two versions compare, take a look at some comparisons created by Gaijinhunter below.

Beautiful , than I expected.

This is still port of 3DS game not game from ground made for Switch, but nice upgrade in any case.

Never realised how bad the Monster Hunter games looked on 3DS.

lol, they look like completely new games in my opinion. The image quality on the 3DS is ass.

The difference is the Switch version is playable. Simple as that. This is worse than Hyrule Warriors comparisons.

I'm actually really impressed that they bothered to upgrade the visuals that much, and odds are (given these are stream screenshots) it looks better in the hand as well.

I really hope they make a new Monster Hunter for the Switch; either way, I know ProJared must be super excited... dude is obsessed with the franchise lol

It looks bad on both consoles

Well this is Monster Hunter, looks are not what it's known for. If 240p Monster Hunter games can sell almost 4 million copies, I think this is a series where visuals aren't a factor in it's success, but rather the gamplay.

gonna give this a try. Tried to get into the wii game and just couldn't.
