Yes.  Someone still thinks the Wii will lose this console war.

The Wii will lose because it will not be able to complete a 10 year cycle. The Wii should win this year and maybe next year, but sales will falloff quickly. The question is will the PS3 surpase the Wii while the Wii is still in production.

The PS3 has already won the console war, the 360 gets the RRoD right out of the box, and is being outsold by a more expensive system with none of its major games out. Look what Nintendo resorted to after the GC failed, they threw a power glove on it and called it a wii. Its not even a proper system. The PS3 has won this generation and Nintendo home consoles will never outsell the Playstation family of home consoles.

Of course, no current console will likely have a ten-year cycle. Hell, the PS2 is still a full two years away from the earliest point it can claim that milestone. Lifespan is determined by the market, not press releases and fanboy blather.

War is over. Time to worry about the next war.

My prediction has been and will always be PS3 winning this gen, and then if the same thing happens we will always know playstation cannot be beaten in console wars.

Therefore I do think there is about a 20-35% chance the wii can lose, If the PS3 comes into price range with the wii, its over.

Even if the wii has a new color, if the PS3 = wii in price its over.

edit: Let me put it simple, if the PS3 is at $249.99 us dollars, it doesnt matter if the wii is $199.99 the ps3 will outsell it.

You should talk to Sony Leo-J, 249.99 is an excellent price point for the ps3. If the ps3 is priced at that it will outsell the Wii for sure and win 3 gens in a row!!! You are so smart.
