Adam Sandler is a decent actor who can do a good job. But, he found out that he can make much more money by acting like a goofball and doing stupid shit. So, he does stupid shit.

Pretty much this. He's impressed me before, but he chooses to do a lot of crap that makes $$$ instead.

I did like Funny People a lot, where he seemed to play himself, and that seemed to touch on that side of him. I normally don't bother with most of his recent original comedies, though I did like the one where was an Israeli supersoldier.

I love his films. He is honestly one of my favourite actors. One of my favourite comedies is That's My Boy (a pretty hated film), but I love it.

Just watched Sandy Wexler with the wife and we both loved it. The Wedding Singer is a classic, he really has a great singing voice when he isn't being retarded lol.
Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, Mr. Deeds, Waterboy, hotel transylvania (and its sequel) are all funny.

I've enjoyed every movie he is in, though some of his movies aren't the greatest.

He can pull on your heart strings too in movies like Click and Spanglish. Great performance in Punch Drunk Love and Oscar worthy performance in Reign Over Me. He really is a fantastic actor. I do wish he would do more dramatic roles though.

You seem to REALLY like him... what did you think of Jack and Jill? :P

Yeah I do. Jack and Jill was one of his weaker ones but there were moments of enjoyment. Dunkacino was hilarious.

I only ever liked Mr. Deeds, 50 First dates and eight crazy nights (animated)
I'd just about hated everything else he's made.

Click is amazing, and 50 first dates too.
Mr deeds was funnier when i was younger, but now it's stupid.
The more recent movie i wacthed was Just go with it and it is bad, but i hardly care. I like good movies, don't care who is in it. He make good movies and bad movies. Netflix also has a lot of bad movies or ruined good series(like arrested development), but also nails it sometimes, like with black mirror.

Movies is suposed to be entertainement, i don't put a lot of tougth about it.

honestly Adam Sandler movies were almost only strictly good around the period in which he was doing SNL (or a little after). All of his best films (as far as mass opinion is concerned) come from the same period of years

The Waterboy, Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, the Wedding Singer, Big Daddy.  with maybe something like Click being later than that batch that people like okay

but the rest has been mostly pretty terrible garbage, particularly in the last decade

his period of amusing comedy films (basically because they're SO stupid that they kind of work and there is SOME level of creativity) would be like mid 90s to 2000

He's good when he's good, trash when he's bad. I like a few of his movies, but the majority... ehhh

His good movie to bad movie ratio might be the worst in Hollywood by a big name actor.

But there's Ben Stiller...

But I liked the first Night at the Museum and the first Madagascar...

His movies aren't meant to be hollywood quality, thats what makes them so fricking enjoyable.
