Dunno if you can really say that for sure, at least not for day 1. Over time, yes, but a lot of people who bought BoTW on WIi U  are obviously waiting for a while before buying Switch, and they may not have bought Switch solely for BoTW right now.

Lol this thread. Anyway, great sales for Zelda and Horizon. Also surprised to see the Walking Dead too.

Works both ways.  Currently the only Switch release with mass appeal so sales will be bigger then normal from the actual buyers.  Evens it out in a weird way.  

 

I'll tell you what I'm celebrating.  I'm celebrating Horizon beating Zelda.  I adore Horizon.  About 80% complete and 50 hours in.  I love seeing it beat Zelda,  not because it's Zelda but because Zelda was always going to do impressive numbers.  So by celebrating it beating Zelda it's like a back handed compliment to it.  Pls understand! 

It doesn't really matter that Horizon "beat" Zelda in one week on a specific country (and due to supply constrains). Wait 1 year and then compare WW sales and you'll see the real "winner" (and that's pretty obvious, I guess).



Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Well Horizon was over 2.6m after 10 days.  Probably over 4m early may.  Zelda going to need a long time to catch up.  And if Sony make Horizon the main bundled title this holiday it's game over!

The thing is... Sony games are heavily front-loaded most of the times, and I doubt Horizon will be any different, unless a massive bundle pops up like you said. But even then, Zelda's attach rate will continue being high for this whole year, so I'm very positive it will end its first year at the top. LT I believe is a given since this thing will be a slow burner like Twilight Princess was (but yeah, we will have to wait and see...)

They're from loaded because they're so many more games on ps4 to choose from.  If you buy a switch you're much more likely to get Zelda because there won't be a lot of competition on the platform. 

 

Having said that I still believe Horizon will sell 5m+ before the holidays without a bundle and then a bundle plus normal holiday sales will bring it close to 10m the same as uncharted 4.

They are front loaded almost always independently of how many games are being released, you can see that on Vita too where the only exception seems lo be minecraft which is not a Sony game, Nintendo games have legs, is very well known, you can see that on the 3DS too, where no matter how many games are being released, big Nintendo games usually keep selling for years and have big bumps in holidays.

ps4 games have legs too. some massive successes on ps4. 

 

but yeah on nintendo platforms you've genrally got a lot less games to chose from and the nintendo titles are usually the standout ones meaning they get the sales. the ps4 has many quality exclusives but its got massive competition from third parties.

Snitch? Dont make me laugh, glad you dont kno me well. And baiting is something this guy does alot, and he is obviously flaming. Making up your own rules to fit your agenda is plain out dumb. I dont want hom banned, i want mods to put an end to obvious trolling.

OBVIOUS TROLLING/BAITING/FLAMING, he does it in a way to not get banned. If i give him credit for something its his clever way of going around a stupid system.

 

Edit: never once hit the report button. Mods can tell you themselves if there is an archive or something.
