The 360 is the best console from MS by so far its not even funny.

Indeed. I'd even put the original Xbox above the One. Plenty of exclusive games and the best machine for multiplatform games.

Agreed. XOne is probably the weakest of the three.

360 might be the best console ever made so he's really in PR mode here, which is his job of course.

If Phil Spencer seriously thinks this is the height of the Xbox brand then Microsoft should consider replacing him right now ...

The Xbox One is a total trainwreck in terms of game line up. They have a halo spin-off, another zombie survival game just after getting Dead Rising last year, a cloud powered tech demo and this is the best they have to offer despite having no flagship single player experiences that's supposedly the life and blood of console games ?

Just more sad news for Xbox fans that Phil Spencer doesn't desire improvement ...

State of decay 2 and crackdown 1 had some good sp experiences. Just because a game has multiplayer doesn't mean it's single player sucks. I loved gears of war 4 single player and a lot of people here do as well. I want my games to have multiplayer personally because if I am paying 60 dollars for a title it better have a lot of replay value which multiplayer games give.

Tbh, I think that One is the worst MS console by miles. I just can't see its appeal compared to the direct competition (PS4). Unless you're a hardcore MS fan. Or you have some money to spare and can buy both of them XD.

With the rare exceptions of total failures of a console like CDi or 3DO I typically believe every console has a few exclusives to offer to make me want to buy one. I have a XB1 and a 360. XBO has nothing I want. It surprises me honestly. It also feels like the most irrelevent system. It mainly has a presence in the US. Almost any game you want on XBO is on PC,for everything else there is PS4. Switch will also offer something new and different and it likely will own Japan within a couple years. Xbox division has been lost since 2010. I was never on board with Spencer. He always felt like a face for PR and said what people wanted to hear but Xbox is still in a mess. Scorpio isn't going to change much. More powerful? Sure. Problem is still not enough compelling games.

The original State of Decay wasn't anything special but it could serve as a good filler and while the first Crackdown ended up being great, we can't deny it's sequel has taken steps backwards just to have it skirt the lines of decency but what ticks me off about Crackdown 3 is that we haven't even seen ANY gameplay specific towards the single player when release is nearing at the end of the year ...

It's just sad to have games focus on multiplayer when we all know servers will get shut down in the end. At least with single player games you can be sure it'll run anytime provided your console still works ...

And replayability can be designed around single player games, not just multiplayer games and it's utterly fucked up on Microsoft's part that they don't realize that a great single player can last forever whereas it's not even remotely true for multiplayer ...

So I have to assume he is talking about something within the gaming space. I guess in terms of improvement? A bit too general to tell, but I assume he does not mean sales. Primarily because he previously made a point to not do the sales thing and tooting your own horn is strange in that regard.

It could mean a lot of things.
-Cooperating to bring full mods to a highly anticipated third party AAA title (Fallout 4).

-The best backwards compatibility in Xbox history

-Xbox Games with Gold?

-I guess Xbox Play Anywhere? People have been using this as fuel though.

I can't think of anything else. More importantly did anyone actually check his twitter? I find it rather strange this is all the context we get...

Multiplayer games last longer than single player games for a lot of people. Hell, a lot of people don't even play the single player modes anymore. Besides, games with single players have limited replay value and down the road it is usually behind the times on gameplay mechanics. I can't complete a lot of older games just because they age badly or if they're story driven games I only play them once since I know what the story is.

Well, to be fair nothing compares to PS2 :C
