Iran being on that list doesn't make any sense, unless his goal is to make middle east a sunni/israeli dominated region. The only nations that Iran is remotley a threat to is Israel and Saudi Arabia. Seems to me that Trump is more interested in destroying Iran and Syria and tip the balance in favor of Saudi and Israel, than he is in destroying islamic terrorism.

How does this make the ME Sunni dominated? Iran is the most powerful nation in the ME excluding Turkey and Israel. It can defend itself just fine, so I don't see this as an issue. It also has the backing of Russia...

I'm actually talking about Trump's overall stance in middle eastern policy. He is way more interested in Iran than he is in sunni dominated islamic terrorism. Why ban Iran? Iran isn't supporting ISIS or the rebels in Syria. Name me one organized religious terrorist act in the West that had any ties to Iran.

I think the list comes from the DHS and didn't come from Drumpf himself. I do think that there needs to be more countries to that list (Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, for example). Unfortunately it is something that we need in this day and age.

Do you have any evidence that it came from DHS?  Not doubting you, just for my own knowledge.

Hard evidence? No. Educated guess because the 7 countries are the same 7 countries that were restricted for the Visa Waiver Program? Yes.

None, but what is wrong with the policy? Its only temporarly, and Iran is a threat to western security. Thats why I said the list should include Pakistan and Saudi Arabia as well as the current list.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

Seems reasonable. Thanks for the link.

Iran has no interest in the West or western people. Iran only wants to secure its existence in sunni/israeli dominated middle east. That's why it needs Assad, shia dominated Iraq and Yemen. Oh and look, those countries are on the list. This list is more than a mere ban, it's a political stance against Iran. Has zero to do with ISIS and terrorists.

As I said, I think the whole middle east with the exception of Turkey should be on this list. Whether or not this is to attack Iran is irrelevant. And Iran is already doing fine by itself, I mean it was the backing of a power that is about to take over huge portions of the ME (Russia), and that is ready to get in bed with Trump (if so we believe). I'd wait and see how this develop's, but I agree that it shouldn't just target shia dominated countries (though not all of these are).

When racism and bigotry gets to form policy, this is only the first steps. Soon you will likely see a registry and I wouldn't rule out internment camps in a few years time.

Damn, it really is happening isn't it? We're going backwards.

Many countries in the world are moving backwards right not, and it's mainly because of the way politicians have manipulated the system in many countries and sadly the only populist movement that has gained serious ground is within the fascist and racist direction. But the progressives are starting to gain steam everywhere and if they become popular in the midterms in the US, we might see a shift forwards again.

The progressives? Look at Europe! The wave of populism is upon us. I really hope that the French election Le Pen. I mean its as likely as Trump winning...

In the midterms, Republicans also defending 8 seats, democrats 25, and only 1 republican seat in a blue state; 10 democrat seats in red states...

Why would he ban the United Kingdom?
