Wasnt it launch week?If it is by the end of march, its certainly possible.

that statement must have been taken out of context or something, i thought the same thing in another thread but a few people corrected me saying it was year-end fiscal shipments.

Thats nice to know that Capcom wasnt completely crazy when they said those numbers!

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Not bad if the game keeps selling and they can ship the other 1.5M by the end of March.

I predict 7million lifetime including digital

not really that excellent of a number but the reception to RE 7 has been extremely positive so hopefully the game has good legs.

I have yet to play it but have heard great things about it reviving more of a classic gameplay vibe, with more of a horror/puzzle vibe rather than the awful recent installments that were just run and gun

RE 4 showed how good a game could be if you combine the right balance of action and puzzles. I do like the concept of RE 7 being like the original and sort of stuff in a building or limited area (estate, whatever). When a game can provide a ton of hours of fun despite being so limited in terms of surroundings, that's really impressive

I expect the price to drop rapidly, maybe $15 by the time late November hits......

As long as they profit and make another one I am happy

Man did RE6 really hurt the franchise that much?? I mean this has good reviews and we've had good spin offs since RE6 but this is well behind franchise standards.

I think it was the progressively wrong choices made for the franchise. Resident Evil 6, the awesome Revelations 2 butchered into chapters that ultimately damaged it, the not so great first edition of RE7 demo. There's a bunch of factors.

Not to mention other awful spinoffs like Operation Raccoon City and Umbrella Chronicles making the brand feel truly (un)dead.

Hey now, Umbrella Chronicles is superb and it's the best love-letter Capcom could have ever made in form of spin-off. You're basically getting RE0,1,2,3 and a brand new campaign with plenty of extras and full replayability. What's not to love?!

RE has to earn the trust of their fans and newcomers at this point, and 2.5 mil sounds like a realistic goal. I think it may even surpass. the game is already getting tons of buzz from the big youtubers and the kiddies will eat it up. With good critical acclaim and even some VR hype (small and exclusive as it may be), this could be a welcomed return to form for RE.

I will admit though, I enjoyed RE5 and RE6 ._.

Considering this is pretty much a new Ip, it did good. The legs should be decent and the next title should launch better
