That's really nice to hear I really hope Switch is a big success on Spain, Nintendo hanhelds have always been very well received here but this one is a strange beast and not very cheap, still I'm feeling optimistic.

It's expensive, but, thinking about it, they still have room for a price cut, so no worries atm. They're banking on their fandom. I think a price cut will happen in holidays if the thing struggles. With the really good catalogue they have this year, I think it could do well.

Yeah they should get it down to 300 at the very least for holidays, I can see it happenintg, or maybe selling the Mario bundle for the current price as if the game was "free"

There are 4 big system sellers on 9 months where WiiU had none in the same time, I think it can do really well, the price is my only concern.

If switch has a " really  good catalog  for this year"

What does ps4 has? Godlike😏

The Switch lineup is made out of bigger IPs this year while the PS4 has some big games and a lot of niche ones.

Lol did you really had to post this dont you?

Switch is getting at least Splatoon 2, Mario Oddissey, Mario Kart Deluxe and Zelda BoTW in 9 months, those are 4 really big ips and strong system sellers, maybe the quantity is not amazing but the big ones are really big.

Yep. I can't really understand why anyone could say this will be a WiiU-like failure. All the Nintendo killer apps in one console. They have to screw things badly to, at least, not profit on it.

I expect a 250 price cut on holidays if things don't go right. They can play the long game, no rush.

I think people are worried of its prospects is because it appears to be making the same mistake of not providing a system with any western third-party support. The big titles you are listing are fine, but you can get big first party titles on its competition and get all the third party titles. The issue Nintendo keeps making is Zelda is a beloved franchise no doubt, but an annually release Call of Duty is still gonna sell more than double the copies that Zelda could dream of selling and you gotta wait 3-4 years+ for a Zelda. They need a console that has their own killer IPs with the killer variety IPs from major publishers or this thing will flounder again.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is going to release in April, so Nintendo has prepared a one-two punch for the launch window.

Yes, a remaster is going to deliver a mastive boost indeed.

The Last of Us Remastered launched what, 8 or 9 months into the PS4's lifecycle? It sold well enough (and went on to be a major seller) and offered a reasonable boost to PS4 hardware until the next string of titles launched throughout August/ September.

This never happened for the 3DS or Wii U

Well, this just isn't true.

Does this no longer apply?

DollaDolla is no longer with us, and these new kids have no regard for the seals.

In one day of pre orders the Switch has already outsold what the PS4 and XB1 sold in two weeks.

Nintendo Switch: #1*
PS4 Slim Uncharted 4 bundle: #8
XBO S 500GB Battlefield 1 bundle: #33
NES Classic Edition: #79
PS4 standalone: #87
XBO S 500GB Minecraft bundle: #98

https://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/2017-01/videogames/ref=zg_bsar_videogames_pg_3?ie=UTF8&pg=1

This means nothing. It would be more interesting if like for like were compared, i.e., comparing with the first day of PS4 and XB1 preorders.

It's a shame really, the buggers will be exterminated!
