Forums - Gaming Discussion - Sony needs to purchase Scalebound ASAP

Should Sony purchase the IP?

yes 157 42.66%

no 160 43.48%

someone else 51 13.86%

Total:368

God forbid Xbox have any RPGs.

It wasn't about guns, footballs, or body kitted Lamborghinis, so of course they would cancel it like they did Fable and everything else not about guns, footballs, or body kitted Lamborghinis.

Grrr.

Is Microsoft directly competing with EA now for ruined studio buyouts they run into the ground (cough Rare Ltd) and IPs they dismantle and sweep under the rug and squat forever?

Mate, the game looked embarassingly bad. The graphics, the gameplay, the character design - it all looked terrible.

I don't understand why there is a lack of understanding that Microsoft owns the rights and they are directly trying to compete with Sony. Why in blue blazes would they sell the IP to them? Especially after this fiasco that would no doubt cast Sony (or Nintendo, though at this point they are not directly competing) the saviors of the industry?

Not a million years, MS owns the IP. Not gonna happen, sorry.

I could never see Microsoft selling the IP to Sony, but I could definitely see them to Nintendo just recoup some of the finances they've put into the game... Mainly because I don't think they view Nintendo as a threat even when they have successful hardware.

Yeah they should and réname it, at least with sony, PG would be free creatively speaking without stupid requirements " put guns, put coop, it needs to be super cool bro , it must please teenagers yo".

Thats why MS will already be bad in vidéo game industry , 3rd party should only work with nintnedo and Sony who respect their visions

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

I admitted the games looks horrendous LOL, but the idea is good, not great. It reminds me of Panzer dragon Zwei or Orta.

Nah , Let SONY make their own version, or another studio make for them. oh wait SONY has Legend of Dragon :)

I don't think they would sell to Nintendo, either.  The most likely outcome, if they sell it, is for MS to try and recoup some of what they spent and sell it back to PG and they'll go out and shop it around to other pubs.

Apparently it was originally going to be a girl protagonist and she had a dinosaur, instead of a dragon.  I don't know if MS thought it would be compared to Horizon or something, but I wonder if they are the ones that made the choice for it to be a dude with a dragon arm and guns.  I also wonder if they pulled the same thing with them that they did with Phantom Dust dev, where they changed what they wanted from the game months after development started, but refused to give them anymore money.

E3 would go ballistic if sony would announce a partnership with platinum games to develop a " spiritual " successor too Scalebound.

That would be fun.

What would be even better is if they announce that PG has been hired to remake a certain PS2 game.  And that game...

Are you simple?
