I really hope he delivers on this first 100 day promises: Start building the wall, get rid of Obama Care, stop free trade... If he can really accomplish those things, I will grab my pop corns every time I feel like watching the news.

Dudes already turned his back on half of the coherent things that he's said.

I cannot believe Fidel Castro/Muhammed Ali/ Prince/ Gordie Howe/ Christopher Lee/ Carrie Fisher/ Liemond Nimroy/ David Bowie pass while Donald Trump outlives them.

You seriously put dictator for life Fidel freakin' Castro in with some of the greatest pop culture icons of all time????  One of these things is not like the others...

fame comes in all sorts, Fidel and Donald are made from the same cloth, one just is a lot less mercantile.

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

Yup. We're stuck on this ride and he knows it. Unless the slave GOP grows a spine and impeaches him. I'm predicting he will be president for life.

They sold their soul. The only people who can tell trump no now are members of congress and the senate. Trump doesnt get told no and thats why I believe he has that disorder (and well..has had it for years). Psychologist say its instilled from a young age usually by family. Then again, trump did threaten to split the republican party in half and take the votes with him when he went third party if they didnt give him what he wanted in the nomination. Republicans didnt call his bluff. They gave him what he wanted. Narcisssists use fear to keep those they hold hostage in line. Now its almost like every republican Ive spoken to has forgotten about that issue. Its almost like stockholm syndrome.

You guys really need to take a deep breath and relax.  Trump isn't going to be "president for life" (he'd be shot before he ever got the chance to attempt it, and it would probably be an inside job / military coup too).  At worst he'll do something to get himself impeached before his term is up, which would mean Mike Pence takes over and ironically most on the left side of the political spectrum view Pence as even WORSE than Trump just because of his religious views.

I predict Trump's presidency will be similar to Clinton's in the 90s, where he'll attempt to "triangulate" between the different factions of both the Republican and Democratic parties.  There are already plenty of establishment Democrats willing to work with him on things like infrastructure and trade, and the extremist factions in both parties will end up cancelling one another out as any attempt by Trump to enact his most controversial campaign promises like building the wall, deporting 20 million illegals and putting a halt on Muslim immigrants wil be met with fierce resistance.

Trump will of course be firing off his usual Tweetstorm throughout his term, but thanks to the checks and balances we have in place and the way the political pendulum in this country constantly swings every election cycle, the odds of Trump becoming Hitler Jr are infintesimally small.

First of all, context matters. Hogan and Sterling comments showed genuine disdain of black people.

Trump was attacking criminal illegals but didnt do a good enough job clarifying. Obama has thrown out millions of criminal illegals so its a genuine problem.

You just proved Naruball's point.

I think I know what you're saying, but feel free to elaborate before I make an argument.

You have entirely too much faith in the system. This system was supposed to prevent this situation from even happening. And it still happened. We had primaries filled with far more qualified people. And it still happened. Then we had a general election, and it still happened. We had debates that showed that he didn't know squat about anything, and it still happened. Then the Electoral College could have saved us, and it still happened.

I'm not going to have faith in the system. He will be appointing several supreme court justices and that will go a long way towards getting what he wants. Plus add in more cowardly GOP slugs who sold out everything they were supposed to be and we're looking at a recipe for disaster.

Trump's win was a clear protest vote by Americans. The characters portrayed on TV that were vocal Trump supporters are text book cartoon characters that present America in a bad light to the rest of the world. Europe and Asia and the rest of the world are laughing at Americans and their joke of a leader, Trump. Enjoy 4 to 8 years of living under President Trump.

What was supposed to happen? A corrupt politician goes in the white house instead?

The debates showed democrats had too much focus on social justice while ignoring issues that were really concerning much of the country. This is something even people on the left admit.

I supported Trump and I'm not convinced he will do a great job. He made big promises and now we see if he's just another politician.

He already said he isn't doing half of what he promised. So there's that.

Holy shit dude, that was well said! That perectly exemplified what happened in poetic form. (Well at least i read the first paragraph as if it was a poem). Heh
